I'd feel guilty taking your money. I'm putting a £1,000 on Povetkin mate. I'm absolutely 100% convinced he's gonna win.

 i hope he wins for you mate, then you can tell everyone how right you have been for the last 3 or so years, however i think Wlad KO round 10 is a good bet. And povetkin has about the same chance as haye did of koing wlad.
Thanks for the support mate. He's gonna knock him out. Lump your money on it mate. Trust me.
I said the same thing to my mates about audley harrison when he was fighting price, they havent thanked me for it

I can think of a load of things that I could spend that money on, but convinced he's gonna win. In fairness most of it is the money I won on the first Banks-Mitchell fight.

5-1 for povetkin to win, i think its more like 15-1 in reality. Not completely unlikely but i would be pretty shocked if he won.

[quote="columbo"]Thanks mate. I might bottle it yet, so we'll see. Even the Mrs says I should bet on it. Every time I tell her I fancy a bet and don't, I would have won and she tells me off.

Keith you 've managed to make the fight semi-interesting for me but just do us a favour, if Povetkin loses as expected then don't start going on about poor strategy, or Povetkin was over confident or some other bollex.

I won't mate. If he's in good shape (I don't expect him to ripped) then he'll win. If he just turns up, like he did for Huck, then he's getting hurt badly. I fully expect him to train his arse off and win in style. Wlad will be on the four or five times and then it's over.

But why on earth do you think there is a significantly better version of Povetkin than the one who fought Huck? I still maintain we'll likely never see Povetkin again after this. He does not look remotely in love with the game to me.

So if he loses he wasn't in good shape. Making excuses already.

He didn't train properly for Huck and didn't take him seriously. He'll be much sharper against Wlad. What a lot of people don't see, is what a well schooled technical boxer Povetkin is. He won the Olympic gold and has found a way to win every fight so far. He's been forced to dig deep and has not been found wanting. He has a lot of heart and has proven this. He also has a superb chin.

Why does he beat Wlad? Well, he hasn't got one punch power, but he's a very accurate puncher and also a superb combination puncher. He can counter or lead and has good hand speed. He also has just enough movement. Running away isn't going to win the fight. Wlad will land shots, but Povetkin will take them and land back.

No mate, I'm just saying that's the only way he loses. If he comes in and isn't a career heaviest, then he wins. I've heard via a very long grapevine that he's training like a nutter, so it's all good. :bag:

If Wlad knocks him out inside three rounds, then it's nowt to do with training, it's just that I was completely wrong and I'll be the first to admit it.

Right, so in the first sentence you're saying exactly what I suggested you were; if he loses, he wasn't in good shape. That sounds like a preemptive excuse to me.

Wlad doesn't tend to blast people out early anymore, so I suspect that excuse will be available for you to use.

Wlad's footwork is too good - Povetkin won't get near him, it will be another 12 round shutout. Boring, but true.

Wlad is just too experienced and comfortable in his style now for Povetkin to win.

Ok, let me make it clear. Povetkin is going to win. If he doesn't, I won't hide behind an excuse. Simple as that. :TU:

Unlike some of the people on here, I have no problem what-so-ever with admitting I was wrong.
