Prize fighter - Bigger is better results?

Post by RedDawn »

I wonder why the results of the Prize fighter tournaments are recorded and the results of the Bigger is better tournaments are not. It seems to me that both organizations use the same rule set, or not?

Technically Bigger is Better is not boxing as it doesn't follow the rules of boxing nor is it held (usually) under supervision of any boxing commission. Neither is a boxing license required from participants (kickboxing, thaiboxing or mma license are all ok)

Article 2 of their rules : Back-fist allowed
Article 3 : Fighters can fight with or without shoes
Article 7 : 12 oz gloves

Bigger's better is actually something best termed as kickboxing without kicks. Yes, it strongly resembles boxing and I have never seen a barefoot participant or someone actually using backfist. But, based on rules it can't be called boxing.

Prizefighter OTOH is fully under boxing rules and BBB of C supervision.
