Ricky Womack, twice defeated Holyfield in the am's. Beat a couple of future contenders when he turned pro, then it all went wrong, sentanced for armed robbery, years inside followed by a 4 fight comeback. Then life caught up with him, and he ended it by suicide

I remember reading about hm years ago making his comeback
Remember trying to find footage a while ago when mentioned in "boxers of the past" forum but just found little footage if I remember, Holyfield amateur fight

He looked to be a very good fighter. Where did he go? The Enzo fight must have been 3 years ago.danconnollyeire wrote:Alexander Frenkel

It's hard to get the full story. Reading between the lines I don't think the mental strain of the sport was doing him any good. He still has time to come back but with every day that passes...Exoddus wrote:He looked to be a very good fighter. Where did he go? This one not strictly in the 'never won a title' , but Michael Loewe (Mihai Leu). He won the WBO title, made one low key defense against Michael Curruths. After retiring Loewe went on to a career in rally driving.

Lee is a Friend of mine who I see now and then. He's fine. He drives for a living. Nice bloke.

Frank Slane, a former top amateur from Belfast. He only had a couple of pro fights, don’t know why.

There's probably a number of guys who have retired 1-0 or 2-0 or 3-0 where something came along in their lives that caused them to stop fighting after only a few bouts.
A better career, going to jail, meeting a woman that don't want you to box...etc.
