Well what if he falls over on the ice and lands on his face in turns opening all the stiches up? I cant really take him seriously as a boxer anymore. He doesnt seem fully committed to it and if that is the case then he should retire.SNG wrote:So he should postpone a tv appearance because people are upset that a fight got rescheduled because of an injury? How does he go about concentrating on healing? Can't he ice skate with a cut on his eyebrow?

Haye didn't beat Valuev clearly, a lot of people scored the fight against him including me.bengulnaci1 wrote:The facts do contradict it. Haye clearly beat Valuev. Clearly and rocked him to his boots. As for Fury beating him, for a guy who struggled past McDermott, got dropped by a couple of non punchers and faced limited / poor opponents, at best, I don't think he would.

Surely as an amateur skater,Haye stands to hurt himself more trying to figure skate with professionals than he is sparring or am i missing something :??

People need to realise that WLAD was right, HAYE is a wanabee celeb.

I'll never understand people who get wound by stuff like this, I was disappointed the fight was cancelled, what else is there to do? You already know the fight couldn't be on earlier than late January, does a week or two extra matter at all?
I very much doubt he'll still have stitches come January, and even if he did and he did injur himself again that's his problem and he's the one who loses millions of pounds not you.

Although i cant see Fury beaten Haye i will agree with Horse that Tyson would probably be Davids biggest scalp as a HW

If its true that he,s appearing on DOI
If he,s that sorry for the inconvenience of the call off, which i understand isnt his fault then why would he take an unnecessary risk by partipating on the show, fvck up everyones plans again if he twists an ankle
I dont see how ANYONE can justify a second postponement especially for a TV show

He beat John Ruiz twice for the WBA, once as challenger and once as a vacant, so he can't be the worst.handsofstone wrote:Nicolai Valuev is arguably THE worst HW champ of all time, look at his record,i couldnt give 2 hoots if he held a title,Id fancy Fury against any of his opponents TBHSNG wrote:Bigger than a world champion?handsofstone wrote:Although i cant see Fury beaten Haye i will agree with Horse that Tyson would probably be Davids biggest scalp as a HW

I don't dispute he might have been planning to do it after original fight date.Maxsplit wrote:squared circle wrote:I'm calling bull poo on that!!
The ice thing normally runs Jan and feb after the dancing has been on beeb per xmas.
So no way he can take part in it during training camp that close.
But no way is he doing it now. He can't. Every series runs Jan thru to march.
So unless he intends to fight and then skate the next night, I think we'll see his plans have changed mate.

Re: Haye v Fury 8th Feb 2014
Laughable. Chisora turned up highly demotivated, and in terrible shape, and shambled through the fight, despite this, he walked through everything Fury had to offer without blinking - fast forward to the Haye fight, and a fit, lean and motivated Chisora goes for it, and get absolutely battered senseless.loaded_gloves wrote:"Fury's leftovers" is a ridiculous spin to put on Chisora. Fury survived Chisora who went on to get into shape and give Helenius and Klitschko great fights while Fury was participating in pub brawls with fat men on 5. That Haye whacked him is a highly impressive result, given that the three giants couldn't even dent him.
Fury's leftovers! Unbelievable. It takes that level of denial and willful blindness to lead a man into a prediction such as Fury dominating and stopping Haye.
To dismiss Haye's opponents while defending Fury's clubfighter scalps is berserk.
Haye by KO in whatever round he pleases in whatever month it takes place.
I'd back a fit Chisora to beat Fury - after Fury gets decimated by Haye, perhaps there will be a grudge match.
Re: Haye v Fury 8th Feb 2014
Haye barely landed anything either. Valuev had a much higher workrate.Finn wrote:if you scored the fight for valuev id like to know how? bearing in mind valuev didnt land anything at all in that fight.
Landed/Thrown/Pct.
Haye 98/143/68.5%
Valuev 64/390/16%
Re: Haye v Fury 8th Feb 2014
So you give it to Valuev on punches missed?Horse wrote:Haye barely landed anything either. Valuev had a much higher workrate.Finn wrote:if you scored the fight for valuev id like to know how? bearing in mind valuev didnt land anything at all in that fight.
Landed/Thrown/Pct.
Haye 98/143/68.5%

Surely Haye landing more whilst making Valuev miss so much deserves the nod?
It's hard to talk about that fight to be honest, I've never been able to bring myself to sit through it again.
Re: Haye v Fury 8th Feb 2014
I scored it how I scored it. Valuev threw over 2.5 times more punches than Haye.SNG wrote:So you give it to Valuev on punches missed?

Someone scoring it to Valuev when Haye was on the backfoot with an atrocious workrate shouldn't surprise people.
Re: Haye v Fury 8th Feb 2014
Horse mate, this is you 'evidence'? The bloke threw more and missed ridiculously while following Haye around and getting picked off, round after round. We can toss in the fact he got rocked like never before.Horse wrote:Haye barely landed anything either. Claude Abrahams gave it Haye 120-108 and my card wasn't far off that, either. So no, I don't subscribe to the view Haye 'barely' won. He breezed it, for me, winning comfortably. It's all opinions anyway and ours obviously differs, on this fight and the outcome of Haye - Fury.
Re: Haye v Fury 8th Feb 2014
How much use is throwing 2.5 times more punches when your opponent makes you miss the majority of them and lands more than half of yours again? I personally don't think chasing a fighter around the ring and missing everything you throw is effective work rate.Horse wrote:I scored it how I scored it. "Picked off, round after round"? Haye only landed 34 more punches in the fight. It was hardly a boxing masterclass.bengulnaci1 wrote:Horse mate, this is you 'evidence'? Abrahams' card was pathetic. Haye worshipping nonsense.bengulnaci1 wrote:Claude Abrahams gave it Haye 120-108 and my card wasn't far off that, either. But your hardly impartial.
To be honest, your opinion to you, maybe 'correct' but its no more valid than mine and I disagree.

I scored it to Valuev. I do not need anyone's permission to see that fight the way I do. A significant minority of people saw it the same way. Most people had the fight close.SNG wrote:How much use is throwing 2.5 times more punches when your opponent makes you miss the majority of them and lands more than half of yours again?
