Why are people surprised by this? Chavez was never going to be allowed to lose this on points. Never.

Not surprised at all, but that doesn't make it any more acceptable.

Of course its not acceptable but this is the way boxing works, as we all know.

I didn't score it live... but after I watched it, it felt like Vera won 6 rounds to me... MAYBE 7, but certainly not some huge blowout.

Upon re-watching and scoring it, honestly, I had it as a draw.

In addition to scoring it, I made a "power" system -- represented by asterisks.. from 3 - definitive round, to 0 - nearly even. It was not surprising, that I had zero rounds as definitive.

Thanks. I've done something like this before, but not quite to this extent. Seemed to be the best way to display my thoughts without going into uber-detail.

I guess in retrospect, when reviewing my notes... I think you could probably come up with almost any card here without influence of corruption.

When I got around to watching this...I had it a draw..so would be ok going either way.

Being old as dirt I Might have slightly preferred Chavez on sentiment though he's nothing like his dad.

But the judges...what the hell was that?

I feel bad for Vera that he has to explain that to others. He deserved the judges fairness and did not get it all.
