Ward aint even as strong as froch on strength level.
Who is stronger then ggg at middle???him & Martinez could both do 11st maybe not Martinez now but he could get down.
Who can push mayweather around?? Not even l.middles he weighed 10-6 on the night v Alvarez
Ward clearly was stronger than Froch. Way stronger in the clinches right from the word go. Carl looked shocked by it early on.
Who came on strong the last two rounds??
Ward stood his ground don't get wrong & is very strong but his technique is far superior then any 12 stonet

Didn't Ward fight with only one good arm?

I wasn't aware of wards injured ive never heard of that??
He tied froch up enough with it.i actually like how ward smothers & finds pockets to get shots in. Froch actually complained about his tactics which is his style.which annoys me because its a fight & if you can't do somthing about it your not good enough!!

Ward is every bit as strong as Froch, he dominated Froch in the clinches.

Kessler is as strong as Froch. Bika too.

I've been in camp with Nathan and know he spars big Cruiserweight's & heavyweights while he is around 14st and his hand speed and work rate are just the same, IMO he is big enough to fill out into a Cruiserweight over a period and think it may be the best decision rather than keep stripping yourself down to the bare minimum.

In this country even with Amatuers Too much emphasis is put on getting down in weight, draining yourself to your lowest possible rather than operating at a slightly higher weight where you can work on extra strength work, carb up, eat & drink normal (even fight week) and feel comfortable rather than dehydrate yourself then having to try and re-hydrate and feeling shit before a fight, plus it's much safer and would reduce the risk of injury even further :TU:

Cleverly looked very unconvincing to me on the Sky panel last night. I found the discussion about his future and the Kovalev defeat more than a little uncomfortable to watch even though Cleverly was as articulate as ever. McCrory and Piper certainly weren't supporting the cruiserweight idea thankfully.

It's tough for Cleverly to try and rebuild in the way others have. He doesn't fit in any other weight division, while he has next to no chance of getting revenge over Kovalev.

I feel for him.

At light heavy he doesn't have much of a chance and asking as he isn't fighting a devastating CW puncher he'll be too quick for all of them.

I definately remember seeing Ward manhandle Froch and boss him inside and out; I remember Carls' expression, he really didn't expect Ward to be stronger. I reckon that Froch can benchpress and deadlift more than Ward but in the actual effectiveness of boxing strength Ward is superior.

Jones, Lebedev, Wlodarczyk, Hernandez, Chakhkiev and Ross, just to name a few, Arslan and Alexeev if you want a couple more.

Right and? Cleverly beats most of these

Ward was a collegiate standout athlete, including wrestling, and it showed.

It's one of the least appreciated arts in boxing, the ability to handle your opponent in the clinches, Toney was a master at this too, and Ali was arguably the absolute greatest, used to tire his oppponents out with arm locks, pressing down on their necks inside, and pulling them forward onto him to upset their equilibrium, nobody ever got the better of Ali inside the clinch. He tossed Foreman around like a rag doll.

Floyd is very strong in close too, and very crafty.

Ali used to pull them off balance behind there head he really was ahead of the game in terms of cleverness.
In sparring they said he was terrible for letting people throw shots at him but it was all experimenting.its where the words come from tie him up take him for a walk Ali created it

You actually believe that? Do you really over rate Cleverly still, or just not had the chance to really see much of the Cruiserweight division recently?

Don't get me wrong, it's not the current Flyweight division but it has 9 or 10 very good guys in it, I'm not sure Cleverly would even be able to compete with guys like Masternak, Makabu, Mchunu or Kucher. In fact it wouldn't be a shock if he fell a long way short of a European title.

We have this strange thing about rating Brits very highly when they don't deserve it.

Froch admitted that Ward was physically much stronger than him.

Cleverly is a lt heavy and not cruiser.
