spoiler Stevenson v cloud

Post by ajwesty13 »

I personally didn't give one round to cloud... I was stunned by adonis movement and speed.....even though I had him to win by ko cloud but I didnt realise he would be that emphatic and stevenson even had the time to show boat. ... it just shows you how psychology wins and loses fights. .. adonis coming off an unbelievable 1 round dispatch of Dawson and cloud loss to hopkins certainly made their mark. ..

As much I have warmed to tony lately...I don't think he has the tools to trouble Stevenson. ..

Thoughts?

Regardless of Cloud's mental state he was never going to overcome all of the attributes Stevenson brought last night. I just hope Adonis did him a favour and showed Cloud some appreciation afterwards.

I'm sure I'm not alone in thinking lets just get Stevenson v Kovalev on before Stevenson gets much older.

true cloud seemed like another hyped up lacy ... the thoughts were really whether Tony has the tools to stand up to Stevenson..however there is another thread that asks that...

thatl be a good bout both hard punches and good movement... that looks like the best match up of the division.. ;;-)

Stevenson was asked about kovalev & he said its his turn to beat a few champions & he has a mandatory to take care of . Max kellerman has to put the pressure on but he knows this fight needs building up champions just don't square off this day & age.
I backed Adonis rds 5-6 & cloud was really hurt rd 4. As was simply too fast too powerfull & too good.

I'm a bit worried for bellew he knows he is up against it & he will be getting the butterflies after seeing Adonis's performance.

I am worried about tony's chances too... im not being defeatist but what i saw from steveson was well above what i expected from him and he looked near enough a world class fighter.... tbh i fancy bellews chances more against bhop than adonis.... i know thats a brave statement but hopkins didnt do as good as Stevenson did imo... i wonder if hopkins wants any part of adonis?

There's alot of sorting out to do in the division! It's been blown apart & I think there will be some cracking fights between your fighters who want to get back in the mix against eachother & prospects.

It says a lot for his speed and reflexes that for someone throwing lead lefts all night, I don't think he got hit on the chin once.

It's still a question mark and Tony will be banking on that. Would seem to be his only chance.

Stevenson v Kovalev is a match made in heaven

I think its about concentration and discipline for tony never hold your feet with this guy no more than three shots at a time when he can and finish with the jab or left hook where he can as stevenson likes to counter with his southpaw backhand i think tony has the long range tools and boxing brain to do a job on stevenson

Theres not much in the way of real British talent in this division.... compared to the lower divisions.. tony is probably the better position at the moment even thou he previously lost to cleverly... think his head in a better place with cleverly unclear what division he prefers kovalev seeme to have done a number on Nathan

before adonis fought tonight i gave tony a 50 50 chance but after the way he boxed tonight i fear for tony... but boxing is funny old game you never know if tony could miss the overhands and moves unlike cloud did, then he stands some sort of chance...

yeah that would be an excellent fight

tbh i didnt think Stevenson could even box on the back foot and counter, i thoguht he was a slugger but mind you i thought about garcia and look how he did... im not totally writing off tony but hel have to box the out of skin to win this one...
im pretty happy mind you that adonis decided to move up, this division has jus got the breath it needed ....
