After a recent letter that we received last week from Shumenov's Management company accusing us of being "good for nothing scoundrels". I think it is about time for Hopkins to meet Shumenov.

Curiosity question, if some of these groups end up in ties, how is that settled? I see a few possible two and three way ties coming up.....

If Gibbons would not want to unify these, he's not much good. So that's the first fight he calls for.

Gibbons calls out Bivins.

If the "champion" can not answer the call of destiny because he is skeered.....Then we of course it's Spinks.

If Spinks refuses, we will drop all but the Lonsdale belt and Face Ezz.

We will commit to a Spinks fight after Bivins, and an Ezzard fight after that, if this helps people.

We would also recommend that any fighter who beats us, follow that path. Then it would up to the standing champion to face the winner of the MDT.

These are of course only suggestions.

I thought in order to unify the titles you had to have three defense and Bivens just won the belt? Just seems odd to break the rules just to unify, if that's the case, why have rules at all during the Sim. Charles/Gibbons had two weeks after their "Draw" to unify, and it never happened. Just for that fact alone, we should stick by the rules, IMO. If either manager was gung ho about unification, they didn't seem too worried about it during the last two weeks.

Spinx calls out both champs, but if there's to be a unification he's open to offers.

I file a protest.

When Crease ran the sims Charles was beating most everybody in stunning fashion. When BoxBuzz ran the sim, Charles got beaten like a red headed step child. I hereby await for Crease's simulation as to the real result of the Bivins/Charles fight, cus BoxBuzz had too much to gain from a Charles loss.

I think Buzz has always run the fights. I don't think he would, or could, set up a result?

As for the unification, I think we should stand by the rules, IMO.

geto you are right.....Bivins does not have the eligibility to unify....I forgot...

However....in an odd sort of reality, he has equaled the amount of belts owned by Gibbons...I think he has held 3 belts and the ONLY fighter to have held 3 major ABC belts. lol. Something neither Ezz or Gibbons or Loughran have done.

HH....yeah...this season sort of sucks for me, in a very real way. I'd MUCH rather be making a lot of ballyhoo about my luck, and being my usual annoying persona, but instead it's honestly embarrassing. Gibbons has earned the streak of luck honestly...I promise you that. But the conflict of interest has haunted me from the beginning. I guess you missed all the threads where I offered to be a commish that DID NOT participate with a fighter. However once allowed by the various managers, I (like you) ended up with a very high draft choice. I then followed up mid season with an offer to give him away. Sadly this may likely always taint Gibbons accomplishments, but he's not a long shot. He's highly rated, and Tiger Jack Fox had an equally amazing run of luck at a far lower rating. And Collazo.....well he was the equivalent of the 69 mets. Ezz? He like Gibbons is expected to do well. Tunney and Greb are examples this season of highly rated fighters not living up to expectations I guess.

This is really the way the cookie has been crumbling. But your statement and suspicion is valid, and probably gives a good reason that commishes should never participate. Too much time, and effort for this process to even have the appearance of anything shady.

As a rule for next year how about something like after 5 or so(whatever number suits most.) defences you are eligible for an immediate rematch the following week.

It's certainly an idea to up he ante from three consecutive defences to five. I shall bear this in mind when the draft begins for next season.

I like the 3 defences rule I just like the odes of long time/dominant champions being able to earn the right to an immediate rematch.

Charles is elliglbe for an immediate rematch due to the relaxed title eligiblity rules.

Considering the unfortunate circumstances in which the fight ended I think its only fair that Charles gets an immediate rematch, so that being said.....

....Bivins vacates the WBO title and offers a WBC title shot to Johnny Frankham

I think Ezz will need to sit this one out....as he just lost his last fight. On the other hand, IF EZZ can fight this week, then let him fight Gibbons.....and let Spinks and Bivins have at it. Gibbons likes his chances with Ezz just coming off a loss.

I think the TKO7th loss is a fluke, considering in r/l Charles beat the holy hell out of Bivins like a red headed step child. Bivins was his favorite punching bag, yet on this sim Charles gets stopped? My ass.

As for Buzz, if you ever notice, Charles comes back greater after a loss. After losing to Lewis Charles ran an unprecedented winning streak. If only it were possible to fight two men in the same week, cus I'd tangle both Gibbons and Bivins.

I leave it to the popular vote.... who should Charles fight? Bivins or Gibbons? First to five wins.

High drama for the BrainTrust heading into the last round of the group stages of the MDT.

If Joey Maxim does no worse than a draw against Gene Tunney he advances to the next round. Or if Galindez defeats Jack O'Brien, or even if O'Brien fails to stop Galindez. Hopefully it works out and Maxim advances.

Dwight Qawi is in a tougher spot in his bracket, he's currently 3rd in points, but his final opponent is Joe Knight whom he already owns a victory over this season. One more and he's moving forward in the Tourney as well.

Good luck to my boys, they've both done a good job in the tournament so far I'm proud of 'em no matter what happens. :box:
