What would be your dream belt to win?

With so many different belts out there. What one belt do you recognise as the one you would dream of winning?

For me it would be the WBC. A lot of the great champions have won it and has a little more credibility (if you can use that word in boxing?).

I think it looks the best as well.

Lonsdale belt, the only one that truly has to be earned and if someone's won one, you know it means something.

Personally I think that if you win a title ypu should get to keep the belt. I appreciate the value of the belt given how tough it is to win outright, but I think that it's harsh to win the British title and be left with nothing to show for it when your career is over because you don't manage to successfully defend 3 times. I disagree with the comment that it's the only one that truly has to be earned; although the proliferation of titles (interim, super, intergalactic etc) devalues them any title that is won in the ring is earned.

If someone has a Lonsdale belt, you know it hasn't been given to them by some sanctioning body and more or less given the belt, it's been earned and is the only belt that if someone has one, you can guarantee they deserve it.

IBF for me because in my eyes it is the most credible organisation there is at the moment. If Sulaiman and his family got the hell out of the WBC, then I definitely change to the WBC.

The sad thing about boxing these days is that none of the main sanctioning bodies are particularly credible.
I voted for the Ring belt but even that has its flaws. But as a heavyweight I'd be in a long line of top names including Ali, Tyson, Lewis & Balboa.

like expe says the lonsdale is the best belt in the world to win because you have to earn it,i think you should have to do this with all belts at least then they would be worth it,you should get a medal for defending it till you win it abit like with the wbc you get a medal for challenging for it,well i think you do cause ive seen a few losing challengers with it round there neck after fights.

WBF because people might think you had won the WWF belt, which is by far the most respectable when compared to the boxing straps.

Id be happy to win an English Title or even a Central Area but imagine winning a Lonsdale Belt outright out of the ones above i would go for the WBC though

For me it was always The Ring as I regarded their belt holders as the true world champions. Since they changed their championship policy, however, I'm not really interested as it's just too similar to alphabet sanctioning bodies. The situation isn't helped by the owners being promoters.

I'd still choose it over all the others above, though, because of the history and tradition of the magazine/championships.

WBA Regular Belt.

That way you could still be the 'man of the people', and not as if you're looking down on them in the same way you would if you had the WBA 'Super' Belt.

MAN1: "Hey look at that snooty boxer, showing off with his precious belt."
MAN2: "That's the WBA 'Regular' Champion. He's just a 'Regular' guy, like you or me."
