hahahahahahahahahaha this thread is unbelievable, why would mayweather wanna give pacman a payday when he was offered a fair deal the last time but got greedy and wanted 50/50 split then got ktfo by a man who arguably (in most boxing fans eyes) has beaten him 3 times previous to getting the knock out, plus mayweather gave the same man a boxing lesson. pacman would get schooled end of story.......

Mayweather may want to break his own record; Manny is still very popular and draws a paying crowd, the casinos would be keen as some high rollers enjoy a Pacquiao fight.

Mayweather has said that the fight can happen. The only way it will happen though he said, is if Manny joins TMT promotions. That's not going to happen.

Do other boxers facing Mayweather have to be signed to TMT as well? Do they co promote with the existing promotional outfit?

I dont think they do. However Mayweather has a disdain for Pacquaio based on all the talk over the years that Manny would beat him I think. Also the knockout loss to Marquez has damaged Pacquaio quite a bit I think from a credibility perspective in regards to a mayweather fight.

The manny fight is no longer appealing since his split with ariza & de juicing his career has caught up with him. The manny who defeated clotty, margarito, cotto would of been a serious problem!!

As for khan his speed will create a intresting spectacle, but many fighters have dealt with it I struggle to believe floyds master timing & reflexes wouldn't cope like any other. I'd say he'd knock khan out in 6-8 rds inside 6 if khan attacks him

Pacquiao agreed to a 50-50 when interest in the fight was at its pinnacle.

And he did not deserve 50/50..did he agree to the random drug testing? That is the crux.

Yeah, he did. The issue then was that Mayweather decided he wanted more than 50%, if I recall correctly.

Have either of them really slipped that much from 2/3 years ago? I reckon not.
I think Manny has slipped quite a bit mentally, don't think he's as hungry as he was. He's not looked really dangerous for a while now. When was the last time he came out and smashed someone up like he used to back in the day?

We will see after the Rios fight, perhaps the KO loss to Marquez will give him some of that hunger back, although it might make him more hesitant than he used to be, if that's the case, he won't be anywhere close to the fighter he was.

Agreed; the biggest missed opportunity of 2008/2009.

Even if they fought in 2014, it wouldn't be a superfight anymore.
it would still be a super fight !
That depends how you define a superfight.

I believe that a superfight is when the 2 best and/or biggest names meet in their primes, preferably for a world title, although that's not entirely essential.

Pacquiao -v- Mayweather Jr five years after it should have happened would not be a superfight, as Pacquiao is not at the level he was at in 2008/2009.
