who would fancy being a boxing commentator ! i would

Post by stevedoc »

i presume we are all boxing fans here and that many of us think we know our boxing ,i'd love to have a go behind the mic and see if i call the fight correctly . a mate of mine did a couple of fights for b0xnati0n and i was quite jelious of him and told him to let buncey know that if he needed a hand let me know ,strangly i never got the call ;;-) .

it just seems a nice way to make a living to talk about the thing you love .

BQ which commentators do you like or hate ....i can't stand teddy atlas he always talks over the action if i guy is hurt he doesn't even mention it and just carries on with his story normaly about how crap tyson was ... i can't even watch fights he commentats on :bag: :bag:

I've an idea for BN, now they're awash with private investment. Add a "fans commentary" option, like they sometimes do on Sky with the football. Each month, pick two know-alls from the forums, stick them in front of a microphone for eight hours, and see how they do. I'd have a bash :TU:

Steve, why not record yourself commentating on a card, dub it (or whatever the modern name is) over the video and upload it to YouTube? We could then give you marks out of 10.

I've got to be honest, that's an excellent idea. Having said that Carrot cruncher seems a little thin skinned, so if they were any good his nose would probably put out of joint big time.

Is he from York!

Accents used to be really throwned upon!

Now days they are cool if spoken clearly & precise apart from Geordies they all sound like shite

You look at radio presenters they are all northern & sound like chris moyles rather then tarrant.
Think moyles is Leeds that's York aint it??

Wash your mouth out Hurlock. Carrot Cruncher was born in the best boxing city in the UK - Sheffield.
