I think Hearn mentioned something to do with the Sky deal in one of the Q+As that he did with iFilm so I don't think it's anything to do with a signing. It may be to do with the sky deal or may be Sky signing up some more international fights.

maybe he will be putting some boxing on that isnt PPV after all the moaning he did about FW taking boxing away from the public. Then doing sod all apart from ppv fights - is froch v groves PPV worthy really? groves is the mandatory the fight has to take place hearn's just making a nice buck out of it by charging people £15 a pop. Im so glad i scrapped sky for the boxing and got allegedly the only thing i miss is ringside.

Please remind me how many PPV fights Sky have put on in the last 2 years of the Matchroom contract.

If Fury Vs. Haye had gone ahead it would have been 3 PPV shows in a 6 month period. I wonder how many PPV shows SKY and Matchroom will put on nexy year? I'm guessing 5 or 6. The problem I have is each event will also need to have a reasonable undercard. This means guys like Kell Brook, Tony Bellew, Scott Quigg, George Groves and Ricky Burns are more likely to fight on PPV undercards going forward instead of SKY Sports. I fear SKY Sports boxing fans are going to be left watching the likes of Brian Rose, Kevin Mitchell, Rocky Fielding, Anthony Crolla and Prizefighters on Matchrooms 20 SKY Sports dates. No disrespect meant to these guys however these are not the type of fighters who I subscribe to SKY Sports to see on SKY's Fight Night program.

The last 3 decent ones since sky brought back the ppv platform - froch v kessler, froch v groves and haye v fury all ppv. Sky refused to do ppv for the vast majority of that two year contract.

Im as a big a critic of matchroom as you can get but it cant be any worse than the shit we used to get served up on those "friday fight nights" most of that was truely dire.
