Spinks definitely has a chance, Wlad was completely ineffective against Haye. You think there is no chance that Michael Spinks could improve on what Haye did?
Moorer was far greater than anyone Wlad has ever been in the ring with.

Wlad's height isn't going to help him against someone like Frazier where he's going to get beat up while he holds. Honestly, I probably overrated Wlad giving him any 1's, the whole list is pretty much comprised of better fighters than he's ever shared a ring with. Even Leon Spinks, he was an excellent in-fighter with tremendous stamina when he was on. He might whip Wlad's ass.

At his best? He sure was
I can see favoring Wlad because of his size, I do in some of the fights too. Guaranteeing him a win because he's bigger is pretty awful. I'm rarely swayed, but I let the criers of Wlad hate get to me here. LOL

I think some people seriously underestimate the effectiveness of Wlad's style. I'm not going to argue because it's a futile quest one way or the other. I respect your opinion.

The size thing irks me the most. The biggest size advantages he has had, against Ibragimov and Haye, were when he has looked his absolute worst and most wary. These men on the list don't tamely sit at the end of an occasional jab like Wlad's non-opponent mediocrities do.
Spinks on the night he beat Ali he was like an animal. The guy who walked through Mercado's bombs & wore him down was also something else. Leon Spinks on his game, crazy as he was, was like nothing Wladimir has ever come across.

I'm not disrespecting yours, I just don't agree with it. Wlad's style is effective against the opposition he's facing. I'd definitely take him over Joe Hipp or Bruce Seldon. These are mountains he's never even looked at. His best opponent was probably Haye and he was incredibly ineffective.

He actually looked pretty good for the first two rounds against Holmes. I was a Leon fan. What irks me is that people want to give Wlad respect, yet Rahman could never beat him? I don't see how anyone could say that with a straight face. They fight 10 times at their best and he doesn't land one right hand?

Wlad couldn't take the punishment that either of them did. And as much as I dislike Wlad's style, he's the utmost sportsman. I find it hard to see him devising a game plan of going Ric Flair on Bowe's balls.

He might not have to take the punishment Golota did, because of three things.
He's a better boxer.
His defence is better.
He's not a raving loon.
He also hits a lot harder than Golota. If Holyfield can knock Bowe down and Herbie Hide could hurt him, why couldn't Wlad.

I never said he couldn't hurt him, Wlad could hurt anyone. I responded to someone saying Wlad could duplicate what Golota did. He fights nothing like him. Not that Wlad would dream of attacking him.

I would certainly give Wlad a chance against the diminished Bowe that fought Golota. He'd still be in rough water though. The Bowe from the Evander fights would walk through him like butter.

Wlad does what he does. It works. Bowe's prime lasted about 25 seconds (presumably somewhere between being booed for edging Tubbs and being booed for defending against bums), so it's hard to judge. But I think Wlad beats Bowe.
The Wlad that was more vulnerable would be more dangerous against this type of opposition, he was nasty. You're not going to beat Bowe holding and throwing 25 jabs a round.

Wlad would stick to his strengths and that would include nullifying Bowe's inside fighting.

Bowe could fight on the outside and on the inside. He's about 10 times more aggressive than the current version of Wladimir.

In fairness, Bowe would probably have ducked Wlad, like he ducked Lewis.
