- tua lost a controversial decision to ike who was the next heavy king. a lot of people though tua won that fight

- tua went 12 roundss with lennox, ruddock went 2.

- tua knocked out john ruiz, hasim rahman, oleg maskaev, fres oquendo, a then good david izon and oben sullivan.

Ruddock couldnt beat David Jaco? The man had an asthma attack in the middle of the ring and Jaco STILL COULDNT KNOCK RUDDOCK OUT. Razor was gasping for air and it looked like he was going to die in the ring but he managed to do the whole 3 minutes. Look at the facts before you say this shit as I have proved you are a boxrec hunter.

Razor was still a young kid when he fought Weaver while Weaver was an expereinced veteran and he beat Weaver with his jab and jab alone winning almost every round. Again stop being a boxrec hunter.

Raxor had a questionale chin? HE TOOK THE BOMBS OF MIKE F*CKIN TYSON in both fights, was stopped contrversially in the first fight and should of at least should of had a draw in the 2nd fight seeing as Tyson had so many point reductions, Ruddock suffered a broken jaw in the 2nd round AND HE STILL WENT THE DISTANCE.

Ive explain about Morrison and if you didnt read it then I dont give a shit about your opinion.

Dokes went life and death with Holy, then was nearly beheaded by a terrific Ruddock combination. Same with Bonecrusher, no one had KO'ed Crusher like Ruddock did and Bonecrusher fought Tyson, Bruno, Witherspoon, Holmes, Tubbs etc.

If Ruddock was one of the most overated fighters in the 90's than why the hell did Foreman and Holyfield publically duck him?

wow, if u think ruddock deserved a draw, then u have to be the biggest idiot i have ever seen. i have watched the fight numberous times, and ive scored it around 114-107 tyson. tyson dominated ruddock knocking him down twice.

- o and i might add tyson was past his prime and thats all he was was a headhunter vs ruddock, no bodywork or defense of the peak 88 tyson.

foreman was 46 yyears old and shot, foreman was ducking everyone. but so wut, beating a old foreman wouldnt enhance ruddocks legacy, though i wouldnt be surprised if ruddock lost to foreman.

Brockton, I think Holyfield would knock Ruddock out even earlier, similar to his KO of James Douglas. Speaking of Douglas, even he had a better chin than Ruddock! I can't imagine Douglas losing to Tommy Morrison or David Jaco. Oh wait, Douglas didn't lose to Jaco! Douglas had an asthma attack in rounds 1-8 but still beat Jaco and floored him in round five. Douglas was better than Ruddock could ever hope to be. In fact, Douglas only lost fights when he didn't care. Agaisnt David Bey, against Mike White (won every round and just quit), Jesse Ferguson (fat and still lost a MD), Tony Tucker (turned the tides and then quit), Evander Holyfield (out of shape and quit on the canvas), and fat and out of shape in last defeat against Lou Savarese.

Lets break down Ruddock. Lost to Jaco (even with asthma attack near end of fight, Jaco should have been KO'd in first two rounds), got his ass kicked against Tyson twice, was destroyed by Lennox Lewis while in great shape, and got his ass kicked by weak chinned power puncher Tommy Morrison. And yes, the stoppage against Tommy Morrison was very well done by referee Alan Sugar as Ruddock was taking numerous unanswered punches after a knockdown and was not firing back.

Ruddock was a heavy hitter but he sucked! He barely beat a 34 year old Mike Weaver, KO'd a 36 year old Bonecrusher Smith, stopped a fat, drugged out Michael Dokes who was 15 pounds heavier than against Holyfield, stopped Greg Page who had just got TKO'd by a 10-9-1 fighter, and KO'd Phil Jackson, who never beat anyone of note (an overweight, shot Alex Stewart took Jackson the distance even).

RazorKO, your favorite fighter, "Razor" Ruddock, lost every time he stepped up because he was a second rate fighter and for no other reason. Use whatever excuses you want. Use the "someone was screwing him over" crap if you want. Buster Douglas KO'd the Baddest Man on the Planet three weeks after his mother (his best friend) died. Tell me that is not more distracting than losing money. You just need to go marry Ruddock and end your obsession with him on this board.

If Holy would of beaten Ruddock so easily than why did Holyfield duck him? Lewis was the only one who had the balls to face him and Ruddock was the no.1 contender for Holyfield's title.

Foreman said - like Larry Holmes that they wanted absolutlely no part of Ruddock but then again Foreman was calling out Tyson and Holmes fought Tyson. That must tell you something

I watched this fight live back in 86 cheering on my countryman but soon as I saw Coetzee he was out of shape and the British media had critized Coetzee as he arrived in England with his family and the sportspages had the head lines of 'Coetzee seems to think hes here on Holiday'.

Coetzee didnt train for this fight and it showed weighing around 230-35. Coetzee had been fighting since Bruno was a 12 year old kid, he took on top flight opposition when Bruno was 17 - notice the age difference. Add to that Coetzee fought Weaver in some say the most brutal fight of the decade - Weaver as well as Coetzee should of been finished after that fight but he still remained and won his title he should of won back in 79 as well as other fights where the Americans remained hostile to him simply because he is South African.

Plus, Coetzee defeated a coked out Michael Dokes, who was coming off two controversial fights with Mike Weaver to win the title. Also you did not answer how you think Coetzee and Ruddock would do in other heavyweight eras. It is obvious you are obsessed with Coetzee because he is your "countryman."

coatzee in his prime lost uncoordinated giant john tate, and was knocked out by mike weaver. neither weaver, nor tate were great fighters.

Bonecrusher Smith wasnt a great fighter either and look how Bruno was KO'ed. Coetzee took punches from some of the best and never scumbled and crawling to his managers like Bruno did.

Ruddock by ko. Ruddock did not only have those HUGE lefthooks but he
also had uppercuts & could move. He was swift for a big man. Ruddock
was at his best against Tyson & had a young Mike hurt a few times.

MULEKICK!!! OMG!!!! HE HITS SO HARD!" lol!!!!!

That's coming from a young Tyson before prison. Take that into consideration.

Good post, I remember Ruddock nearly beheaded Greg Page with some of those in close uppercuts. Not even Tua would withstand Ruddock's famed 'Smash'
