I'll put a tenner on Povetkin and may do a double with Delvin - if they both come in we'll go out for Sunday lunch :)

Delvin's a lovely guy, but I think he'll get outworked. He's still got a decent chance.palooka wrote:I'll put a tenner on Povetkin and may do a double with Delvin - if they both come in we'll go out for Sunday lunch :)

Re: Betting thread
Lots of fun accumulators about to be put on.
Australia (rugby)/NZ (rugby)/Wlad decision/Froch stoppage/Haye stoppage rounds 1-6/Devon Alexander
About 100/1. Going to do a few other versions taking out the rugby and having Wlad stoppage instead of decision.
Just had a thought. Has anyone entertained the idea that the Wlad/Povetkin fight will be so dull and uneventful that Wlad lands two or three more punches every round than Povetkin (kind of like the Haye fight) making it disputable enough to get stiffed in Moscow? I would laugh my tits off if that happened, would make it worth the money I lost.

listen mate if you have placed that bet i want to see your slip because i can just not believe you have placed it; no-one outside russia and povetkins family would be stupid enough to put £1000 on povetkin to win even crazed fans like yourself (roman abrahmovich wouldnt even waste a grand on that bet)keithmoonhangover wrote:Bet placed. £1,000 on Povetkin to win at 6/1.
Get on it fellas. It's free money. You have my word.
You're having us on right?

nah the sanctioning bodies love wlad too much. Povetkins getting stopped late imo but i wouldnt rule out a landslide UD for wlad.Riddick Blowe wrote:Lots of fun accumulators about to be put on.

I feel like both guy will look as bad as usual but Wlad will win on ring generalship and Povetkin is just about good enough to survive.Finn wrote:nah the sanctioning bodies love wlad too much. I know I'm crazy mate, but he's gonna win.
I got 6-1 on Sunday after shopping about for the best price.
I kind of like that you don't believe my bet's on. If you were right, I'd just be a liar. In reality, I'm either a genius or an idiot. We'll find out on Saturday.
Re: Betting thread
Your fecking nuts for making that bet. Of course anything can happen in boxing, but there is no sense behind putting a grand on Povetkin.
I'm assuming your not a millionaire who can afford to piss a grand away and in all likelihood that's what you've done.
If Povetkin does pull it off fair play to you.

Re: Betting thread
If any of you are on skybet they have good odds on the fight handicap section for Selby v Walsh and Quigg v Salinas
Selby to win in rounds 1-5 or points 5/6
Selby to win in rounds 8-12 or points 5/6
Same for Quigg

Same for Quigg
Re: Betting thread
£100 on Liverpool, wlad, Quigg and cotto to win = £210. bit worried about Quigg so put £10 on a draw at 22/1
Re: Betting thread
no chance of a draw mate its for a vacant world title; they will find a winner. Your 4 fold looks pretty solid though.jessi wrote:£100 on Liverpool, wlad, Quigg and cotto to win = £210. bit worried about Quigg so put £10 on a draw at 22/1

Can't really see anything I fancy this weekend but I'll be having a small punt on Quigg by decision at 2s. Salinas has had over 300 wins and has been Cuban national champ numerous times so he knows his way around the ring. I think ODLH has signed him too so he's obviously seen something in him. Having said that I still don't think we've seen the best of Quigg and I reckon he will grind out a points win against the tough Cuban.

Oddschecker would be so awesome if it had the function of comparing accumulator prices.

Anyone know if this Lopez guy is handy fighting Mitchell?
I like Mitchell but he's due to come unstuck again shortly.
If I was betting I would go for Klitschko on points

If you don't believe me, then that's cool. I'm more concerned about winning the money.

What site did you get 6/1 on mate?

Bet365. Although he's 11/2 now. I'm fairness my local Coral has him at 7/2 and the manager says there has been a chunk of money on Povetkin this week.Deno1986 wrote:What site did you get 6/1 on mate?
Ha'way lads man. Get your dosh on the Russian.

I got a £10 double on Povetkin and Quigg winning.

Good value I think. Can't see Wlad bombing him out, the fight is made to drift depressingly into the later rounds with a scarcity of action in the ring, with Wlad then winning.Deno1986 wrote:Going with Wlad to win on PTS or round 8-12 @ 10/11.
I can imagine Povetkin rapidly losing interest when he realises he has nothing to bother Wlad, and just sleepwalking through to the end.
