He actually said he was in the condition of his life for both, and said AFTER the burns fight something just wasn't right on the night, for me once bitten twice shy, I said clearly before he fought ricky I will NOT buy any excuses, I stand by that for the future ! However, he has to gain something from the losing experience and I still believe he can win a world title. Time will tell
You must be a very, very big fan. After seeing Burns struggle so badly(and arguably lose) to two guys who are nowhere near the best in the division after destroying Kev, what makes you believe he can win a world title?
Yes I am a big fan, that's my problem, but I will only bet with my head, if he gets a shot again I will bet on him to win, when Kevin gets it all right his hard to beat

I don't think that's a given; loads of people find out they're not as good as they thought they were and no good comes of it.

I totally agree. He was talking unifications with Marquez before the Katsidis fight! I don't think he will ever be as good as he was, and that wasn't that brilliant. If Johannesson had a bit more in the tank Kev's bubble would have been burst years ago.

Mitchell may have struggled to make the step up to world class, but he's better than domestic class and that'd show here. All credit to Derry for what he's managed to do with his late career charge. But I think Mitchell would stop him quite comfortably.

Good performance last night from Mitchell I though, seems to be enjoying life with Sims. I wouldn't be surprised if Mitchell turns out to be a Ryan Rhodes type, more respected in the back end of his career when people think he's on the slide than in his early days as a brash 'future champion'. I'd love to see him in the mix with Matthews and Crolla.

A decent performance against a poor opponent. [urlhttp://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_id=442131&cat=boxer][/url]
Bet he was billed as a dangerous Mexican.

Mitchell is a good fighter.

Not quite world class but a good fighter nonetheless.

He hits quite hard as well and matches against Matthews, Crolla and Rees would be good fights.

I think Mitchell is the best bar Burns but its dangerous to under estimate Crolla

I thought Kevin looked very impressive last night

Mitchell is a good boxer but he looks past his prime for me and a Benito or a Lopez will not convince me otherwise. Some good domestic battles there though.

Mitchell vs Mathews is a good match up at this stage.

If the best Mitchell turns up he stops Mathews easily. As good as Derry has been recently I see Mitchell beating him with body shots.

Whether Mitchell goes beyond domestic level who knows?
