RBR Klitschko - Povetkin (Spoilers)

Klitschko can box as long as he wants; he has perfected the art of a 12 round boxing match; he is absolutely the physical and tactical master, he holds all the cards and hurts a boxer being dirty or when he is clean; Povetkin is an excellent boxer but wasn't really in the chase. One hard jab/hook bang on will wreck a good boxer; he must be able to push down a cars roof when he leans on, I'm not keen on watching him as it just seems unfair to the other man - I lost a tenner on Povetkin - betting through hope and not through brain. Wlad can do it as long as Hopkins if he wants.

Wlad can box beautifully at range but tonight it was a lot more fouling than boxing to be honest and I say that as a Wlad fan,

He could've probably got away with blatant cheating at least once, he should have given it a go.

I think the people who are referring to Klitschko's 'boxing' must have some sort of mental illness. Or passed out through boredom and dreamt of an entertaining boxing match.

That was not boxing.

It was not some tactical genius.

It was fugging holding, holding and hitting, clinching for dear life, for 12 fugging rounds of horror.

Holding not boxing.

When we watched we said that Povetkin should have whacked his bollocks hard after being thrown around, even if it didn't do a lot it would have 'said' a lot, Povetkin was brave but acquiesced by not fighting fire with fire; if someone presses you down then belt em hard low, they'll not want you down there again.

That was the worst holding I've seen from Wlad. He shouldn't be allowed to do it.

I agree, and if the referee were stricter I think Wlad would`ve held less.

L_G, holding inside and getting away with it is a skill. It's not popular with American influenced tear-up fanatics but it's a useful weapon in the arsenal if you still wish to be understood when you're 50.

Yes, TC down twice ( round 1and2) but came back to win on points. Camacho not happy as he thought he had clearly won.

What did you think out of curiousity?

For what it's worth, I had conquest up by 1 at the end. Camacho was very unsporting in his reaction.

He was a bit unsporting; he had 2 women in the ring with some sort of ticker tape on them clapping his ever move (post fight) they didn't know what to do with themselves when Conquest had won - a bit unbecoming isn't it?

To be honest ive never rated Camacho. His chin seems suspect to me and his boxing ability is questionable.
