Cotto at middleweight

Post by winkveron »

After his win last night Cotto is talking about fighting at middleweight, and his desire to become the first Puerto Rican to be a 4-weight world champion.

What do you think of his chances of mixing it at that weight class at this stage of his career?

Incidentally, it completely went under my radar that he was now with Freddie Roach. Wouldn't mind watching his spars with Pacquaio!

He's on about facing Martinez. I wouldn't fancy his chances against a genuine six footer "big" physical middleweight.

As said, against a mashed down Sergio Martinez he has a chance, but the bigger middleweights will kick his ass.

He's not big enough for middleweight. Against any half decent middleweight he'll be overpowered and stopped.

If we want good fights in the UK we need PPV unfortunately, but I try and get tickets for the PPV events then you don't have to pay for PPV.

Funny thing is, the ones that moan are the ones who stream it anyway. Moaning just for the sake of it.

No chance when Cotto packs them in whether it be in Miami or New York, Barker would have to travel for that, like all the big fights in the division, apart from Macklin and Murray.

Cotto would take Barker back to school.

I think Barker would be too frightened to leave Essex
