Jake LaMotta Versus Bernard Hopkins
Re: Jake LaMotta Versus Bernard Hopkins
A great fight that I think either man could win. I'd give Hopkins the edge most of the time against the come forward Lamotta. That being said, Lamotta is tougher and a better fighter than probably any Middleweight that Hopkins ever beat so it's certainly not a sure thing.
I'd have to favor Hopkins by decision though, in a trilogy I think Jake would take at least one of them.

The great Bernard Hopkins was more complete fighter than given credit for. He could box, take a punch, fight well inside as well as outside, great stamina, will and determination. The great Jake LaMotta was very good, tough as nails, but I don't think he beats B-Hop. B-Hop by decision.
