Help - amateur show- Luton 1987 - Henry Wharton

Post by dalcumly »

Around August/September 1987 there was a show in Luton which was being watched by the England slectors. Henry Wharton knocked out a chap in the 3rd round, which must have impressed the selectors becaus soon after he was chosen to fight against Poland. Henry thought the guy's name was Keith Wallace, but of course Keith Wallace was a flyweight from Liverpool. Henry is convinced the surname was Wallace but can find no trace. Anybody got any ideas ???

I kindly got a PM which has led me to a KEITH WALL who fought for England at 67 kgs around 1986. I wonder if he might have moved up to middleweight by 1987?? Can anyone Help ??
