Using wrist straps when dead lifting

Post by Prediction...Pain »

I've been using them anytime I'm dead lifting anything of decent weight and I can say that I love them. I really get a much better pull when not having to worry about not being able to grip the bar. Also been using a fat bar when deadlifting which I like a lot. I love me some deadlift

Deadlifts are my fav' exercise, my 1RM is 150kg which is mind-blowing for me, I only done it once tho' - I work up to and stick around the 100 mark as I like to do multiples as part of a mini circuit. I might try the straps if I go heavier again as when I increase the weight and I get my sweat on I sometimes feel like I'm about to let is slip. I was thinking chalk either?

Toying with getting some straps. I'm going ok with the dead for now but its shrugs that have me struggling when it comes to grip.

Straps are good, but they obviously make any adjustments impossible. I use chalk instead. Grip strength is also improved without straps.

I use straps for things like Romanian deadlifts.

Use straps for my workout set, chalk for the rest. Not done any deadlifts or squats for over a month though as I've fractured my foot. Going to be hard as hell when I get back to them.
