Price's main problem was inactivity.rio wrote:All they need to do is the exact opposite of how price was brought on. Retired Latvian binmen don't do anyone any favours. He should follow the furys model fighting experienced pros with winning records and undefeated fellow prospects with similar records.
Being put in with people that didnt test him didnt help him either.Horse wrote:Price's main problem was inactivity.rio wrote:All they need to do is the exact opposite of how price was brought on. An average of only 4.5 fights a year for the first 2 years of his career was very poor, especially against such weak opposition.

It was poorly done all-round.columbo wrote:Being put in with people that didnt test him didnt help him either.
To be fair the likes of McDermott, Skelton, Sexton and Harrison are exactly who you'd expect him to be in with in his 12th-15th fight, especially to win and defend a British title. It's not his fault he blew them all away, there were no better British level opponents.Horse wrote:It was poorly done all-round.columbo wrote:Being put in with people that didnt test him didnt help him either.
McDermott and those others were fine. His opposition before that was poor though.J-C wrote:To be fair the likes of McDermott, Skelton, Sexton and Harrison are exactly who you'd expect him to be in with in his 12th-15th fight, especially to win and defend a British title. The problem was they jumped straight from those fights to a top ten guy, and a wiley old pro at that, in Tony Thompson. It would have been better if they fought a few of the mid level durable euro guys first. I think they were trying too hard to match Fury's win over Johnson.
And some of the inactivity was caused by injury as he did have various hand and back problems I seem to recall him experiencing while he was working his way up,columbo wrote:Being put in with people that didnt test him didnt help him either.Horse wrote:Price's main problem was inactivity.rio wrote:All they need to do is the exact opposite of how price was brought on. I agree with that. They went from the likes of Mcdermott, sexton and co to Thompson who whilst not the best heavyweight in the world, he's still a considerable step up from those guys. Chisora back then would of been a good test actually. I still think Thompson is a better fighter than Chisora to be honest.J-C wrote:To be fair the likes of McDermott, Skelton, Sexton and Harrison are exactly who you'd expect him to be in with in his 12th-15th fight, especially to win and defend a British title. I think Chisora is better than Thompson. Which is one of the main reasons I think Price should go nowhere near him any time soon.columbo wrote:I agree with that. Give, that he's been 8 with Olubamiwe, 8 with Gerber, 4 with Lucas Browne, 4 with Dorian Darch and 5 with Cornish recently, if Joshua blows him away in 1 or 2, that should at least put to bed the "Joshua has no power" nonsense.handsofstone wrote:This one could go 2 rounds maybe
vidoz and snosnowski stopped him in 2 and 1 rounds:).SamWise72 wrote:Give, that he's been 8 with Olubamiwe, 8 with Gerber, 4 with Lucas Browne, 4 with Dorian Darch and 5 with Cornish recently, if Joshua blows him away in 1 or 2, that should at least put to bed the "Joshua has no power" nonsense.handsofstone wrote:This one could go 2 rounds maybe
Well he'll be a pro for about 2 months! How much time does he need!Parson Cross wrote:Oh FFS thank God some of you dont promote or manage fighters.
I take it if he wins handsomely some of you will want him in with the Klits next.
