Chunky DeGale to fight in November

Post by ILikeBeer »

Fighting TBA in Bluewater in Kent. (Again.)

Knowing DeGale we'll be in for a treat of watching him struggle to beat a journeyman, then act like he's done something world class. He'll follow this by making some hilarious witticisms along the way like; "Uggggh.... I'll beat Fwoch. He's ugleeee."

Still, it's good that boxing is back on Channel 5, considering it wasn't long ago they were making out the plug would get pulled. Maybe in the new year Hennessy could work on signing somebody who wasn't a total bell-end. :OhYes:

TBA doesn't have the best record of late, I can't remember the last time he won to be honest.

He pulls out of a lot of fights.

I keep tuning in to watch his fights, only to find somebody else has been scheduled in hs place.

What a surprise, a new topic slagging off a British boxer.
If you really believe he has struggled to beat journeymen, you really haven't been watching. He might not have been that active, but he certainly impressed in his last two fights after he got over his knee injury.

Ugggh.

Sitting next to his sister would make me want to go less. And I don't want to go as it is.

Was just talking about this the other day can't believe his inactivity for such a potentially excellent fighter.

I was always a degale boo boy but after meeting him and sparring him I was sold, top lad with great skill doesn't seem to be progressing how he wants to and how we thought he would.

Admittedly he's done himself no favours over the years with some questionable comments (stupid but I wouldn't want to upset him he's a good lad) but all that aside he is the best fighter I have ever sparred and welcomed me and my trainer to use his gym as our own if we so wished.

Haven't seen him again since but im sure he'll still be the likable guy that in reality is just massively misunderstood.

I'll probably go. I grew up near Bluewater and have mates there still who are into boxing. Better than just meeting them down the pub, isn't it? What's it like, the venue?

Yep.

Maybe Mr Beer would like to fill in for TBA? He'd soon find out how much hard work and effort it takes to be as good as James DeGale.

Of course Degale wants to fight Froch. He's an ambitious young man. What the hell is wrong with that?

Nothing. What I object to is boasting about it, when you aren't good enough to beat him.

DeGale talks too much, shows off and is generally an all round bell-end.

I'm sure Degale thinks he can beat Carl Froch. So what do you want him to say? "I can't win." Get a grip man.

I hate all this boasting in boxing. He's nowhere near Froch's level, so should stop saying what he can do.

It's not exclusive to DeGale of course, but he does like to talk shite about what he can do. Whether people want to hear it or not.

And whether it's true or not.

Besides, the issue wasn't on whether he should mention Froch or not. The issue was, he'll put in a mediocre performance, against a mediocre opponent before acting like he's a big fan. Whether he mentions Froch or not is pretty irrelevant.

At least Ali's boasts were witty, and given before he went on to beat the best the division had to offer. (In the golden era of heavyweights.) DeGale shouted; "Ugleeee boy" 1,247 time before the Groves fight, before doing a little dance to celebrate the fact that he lost.

Ali was a special case, for which nobody will ever compare. If you think DeGale does compare, I must strongly disagree.
