VIP Bolton free live stream....

Post by The Insider »

....anyone else having problems with it? I've tried Pad, laptop and phone using mobile network, wired BB and WiFi and I'm still getting a heavily pixilated picture.

It seems ok for me but then maybe it's because my standards are low haha.

Watching on iPhone, best stream I've had for boxing.

Fair play VIP! Better than xfactor!

The stream quality may be decent but the card is extremely poor, in my view. It's very hard work on the small hall scene and as long as the people at the venue are having a good night (which I expect they are) it doesn't really matter that the 'sport' at that level is a farce but it is a farce.

I've taken the following passage from an article back in July. VIP Promotions have definitely put on a larger show than normal tonight (16 fights) but they've certainly not stuck to the sentence I have highlighted.

“Next season we’ll be putting on fewer, but much larger shows, which will represent better value for money for boxing fans, and we’ll be screening them live via VIPBOXING.TV. VIP fighters will also be expected to take harder fights, face each other, and take on local boxers who are ticket-sellers, which will all mean an even better atmosphere at the shows.

“We’re working within difficult circumstances but are really trying to get a better deal for fans, and I’m hoping people support VIP, and our boxers, by coming along to the shows, and by tuning in to VIPBOXING.TV if they can’t make it.”

I'm not ragging Steve Wood, he's doing what he has to do but to sit through that show from start to finish would be a bridge too far for all but the most in need of being committed.

I thought the same just a piece of propaganda really the standards are still the same. I thought of going tonight but looks like a card of 60-54's & 40-36's.

Stevie Taylor 4 wins 1 KO vs Paul ohagan 4 wins 3 KO 1 loss wasn't a 60 - 54 bout was a good match up on paper

Some other good bouts too, ate does a good job hard to make money with No Tv

Been waiting for it to go up on you tube but cant find it yet, wanted to have a look at the heavyweight who made his debut with a first round ko 6-8 and built, apparently
the kid can punch, would have been interesting to see that. If Anyone from VIP puts them up on you tube give me a yell if you do.

Machaj moves around really well for a guy of his size, he's raw but has got a nice foundation, pretty quick hands and decent power. I'd like to see him start stalking rather than bouncing. He has a bad habit of leaving his right hand extended for a fraction too long, he needs to get it back to his chin faster or he'll get waxed by the first left-hook-happy guy he gets in with.

Even though he's been drifting in and out of gyms for years, he boxed Fury as 16-year-old, he's inexperienced and needs to be moved along with that in mind. With the greatest respect in the world, his opponent on Saturday was about as soft as you're going to get in the UK but it was still a decent start.

Thanks for that its much appreciated, I just managed to get a mobile phone copy of his fight, was not that clear but the right hand hanging out there was the first thing that jumped out for me, still as you say first fight but they have to get that sorted early otherwise we know even the top guys can't get rid of these things once they are ingrained.

I shall watch his progress with interest, he's out again soon apparently against Oliphant I believe, he has not won but never been stopped and appears from what I remember to be someone who tries to throw shots.

Thanks for the critism and praise , both appreciated.

Most people spoke to said quality great and no issues , only a couple had problems with it stopping . We are looking into if it is any thing to do with our side and will address if needed.

Agree this boxing show was not same quality as the other 2 this month but had real matching problems and was a miracle that all 16 happened. Still a few decent scraps , a lot of debutants so cannot expect to match them tougth.

It will improve and for free you should not be moaning ! Ha , constructive critism is good
