Re: Marquez-Bradley UK start time
an awful boring fight....I could only take it until round 6 and then switched off
Re: Marquez-Bradley UK start time
I thought it was pretty good ! Bradley looked good, wish Marquez had taken a few more risks, lomochencko class !
Re: Marquez-Bradley UK start time
The rest of the card wasn't all that special.
I set my alarm for 03:45 and only really caught the main event.
Thought Bradley was outstanding and put on a masterclass. He really stepped up to the plate.

Learnt my lesson many times and always record the programme after just in case.Gazmac81 wrote:just watched my sky + of the fight and as soon as the bell went after the 12th it cut off

On the fight, Bradley won clearly in my eyes. Marquez was always as step behind I felt he could have worked harder but he's 40 year-old and it could spell the end.
Re: Marquez-Bradley UK start time
i dont think ive ever had issue with sky before , allegedly i make sure i record the next few programmes after
i assumed he won anyway and on checking the net was bit suprised ( although nothing in vegas should surprise )

Re: Marquez-Bradley UK start time
I always use the manual record option now which is hidden away somewhere in the settings. Been shafted too many times using sky plus. Sometimes it has stopped as early as the ninth round of the main event.
I was surprised at how easily Bradley dealt with Marquez. Even in the last round when they opened up on each other and Marquez got wobbled, think Bradley must have watched Mayweathers masterclass vs JMM and decided to adopt a similar gameplay.

Desert Storm!!
Such a clever performance by Bradley he confounded Marquez, a split decision was absolute utter bollocks.
That was the best I've ever seen Bradley box.

Good display by Bradley though I was a bit bored.
It was the right way to fight to get the win but wont win him many fans.
I would really like to see him and Khan with the winner fighting Mayweather not likely mind.

Re: Marquez-Bradley UK start time
I know people have mentioned Sky commentary in the past, but did anyone else find them particularly poor for this fight?
They were so biased towards Bradley it was ridiculous, if Bradley got through with a jab or one-two, they would bang on about how great he is and how easy hes hitting Marquez, but when Marquez got through it was "just the odd one or two punches at a time".
Personally, I thought the fight was quite close. Bradley was more in control, but the first 4 or 5 rounds were very close and although Bradley took control after that, Marquez won 3 of the later rounds in my opinion. These were making out like the card in JMM's favour was shocking. They both missed a lot of punches and Bradley didnt rock or trouble JMM at any point except in final 10 seconds due to JMM being off balance in a round JMM comfortably won.

I thought the commentary was awful but that is nothing new with sky. Bradley hit JMM with a big right hand at the end of one round and Jim Watt was gushing over it completely ignoring the fact that JMM hit him with 2 big shots on the way in. I thought Bradley won the fight well but not nearly as convincingly as Sky seemed to think.Wa1nuts wrote:I know people have mentioned Sky commentary in the past, but did anyone else find them particularly poor for this fight?

Re: Marquez-Bradley UK start time
If I had a quid for every time Jim Watt moaned about Bradley not throwing his right enough...
Anyway, I thought Bradley fought a great fight but in doing so made it very very boring. He was so in control I was looking for him to take a few more chances, and I know this would've played into JMM hands but at least he would've got the W and some new fans. As it was, he just made the fight very dull.
It was strange, in round 1 or 2 JMM let a few left uppercuts go and they seemed effective but then he abandoned that for the rest of the fight. I also thought he should've gone to the body more to try and stop Bradley being so elusive.

That was a good idea, them covers Bradley had over his glove tape after they'd been signed, fights seem to be getting paused every week because of tape coming undone.
Re: Marquez-Bradley UK start time
JMM was clearly rocked in the tenth imo.Wa1nuts wrote:I know people have mentioned Sky commentary in the past, but did anyone else find them particularly poor for this fight?

I'm a Jim Watt fan but I do totally agree. It was very odd.BigCheese1986 wrote:I thought the commentary was awful but that is nothing new with sky.
