Ricky Hatton vs.

Post by jrc26 »

Tonight's fight had me thinking.

Hatton vs Bradley. Tonight's version of Tim and Ricky at the time of Mayweather fight for all matchups.

Hatton vs. Chris John

Hatton vs. JMM

Hatton vs. Diego Corrales

Hatton vs. Casamayor

Hatton vs. Nate Campbell

He'd stop Chris John...they were never within 3 weight classes of each other so I don't know why that even came up.

He'd stop Nate Campbell (also a naturally smaller man)

He'd beat Diego Corrales in a brawl that went deep

He'd beat Casamayor most likely by decision.

He'd lose to Marquez and Bradley by decision.

Hatton v. Chris John?John is a featherweight))))

Tim UD 12 Hatton

JMM TKO 10 Hatton

Hatton UD 12 Corrales (Chico*s best time was in super featherweight)

Hatton UD 12 NC ( Campbell was better in lightweight)

Hatton UD 12 Casa ( Casa was better in s.feather)

Because John is only an inch shorter than Hatton and John has a FIVE inch reach advantage. Presumably he walks around at 140 or so. If he fought Hatton and was 135 the night of the fight its not exactly a big size difference. Also keep in mind Hatton was struggling to make weight at the end which gives an advantage to the guy who doesn't have to think about weight.

I also would pick Hatton but I don't find it to be a ridiculous fight to discuss. Hatton is a naturally fatter man than John, not a naturally taller and longer man.

Anyhow, interesting picks. I give Diego the win after a fight of the year contender.

At 140 Hatton demolishes Corrales. Ricky's not missing many punches in that fight, and I don't seeing it going any further than the 6th.
