Matchroom show in Wales
Matchroom show in Wales
February finally!! Selby's European title fight (hopefully against Munroe) and who would you like to see Gavin Rees face?
Re: Matchroom show in Wales
Just been on Twitter & Eddie was saying that he has a fight in Wales soon & noticed that Monroe has appeared on the Hull bill so all makes sense.

If Munroe has a warm up fight surely Coyle v Rees will be rescheduled.pyenest77 wrote:Just been on Twitter & Eddie was saying that he has a fight in Wales soon & noticed that Monroe has appeared on the Hull bill so all makes sense.

I really hope Munroe wins but I can see him getting frustrated with Selby's style and walking on to something. Then again, he's got great experience and looked good if not fantastic in his last bout. He sounds confident from what I've read in the local rag recently.....feck it, I don't know, I just hope he does it!
Re: Matchroom show in Wales
I think Selby has to/will want to put a real show on for the Welsh boys as his weight isn't attractive to the casual fans so to get his future big fights closer to home he needs to impress to sell more tickets.Shambles wrote:I really hope Munroe wins but I can see him getting frustrated with Selby's style and walking on to something. this will probably be Andrew selbys debut aswell!
Re: Matchroom show in Wales
Has he said much about going pro? I guess Chris Jenkins will be on there too and then maybe some of the prospects, I'm hoping Joshua but I doubt it.thatllbeme wrote:this will probably be Andrew selbys debut aswell!

Andrew Selby is going to be an absolute, proper superstar in the pro ranks.thatllbeme wrote:this will probably be Andrew selbys debut aswell!

I don't think so, he was wobbled by walsh who is not exactly iron fists, when he steps up against a big banger in my opinion he will fall short.JimJim2009 wrote:Andrew Selby is going to be an absolute, proper superstar in the pro ranks.thatllbeme wrote:this will probably be Andrew selbys debut aswell!

Any word on Clev topping the Bill in a "shock" move to Matchroom?

Re: Matchroom show in Wales
I really wouldn't be surprised to see Lee Selby v Rendall Munroe, Gavin Rees v John Murray, Craig Kennedy v Hari Miles and Chris Jenkins v Tony Pace. It would sell a lot better than other Matchroom shows in Wales and it's relatively cheap to make.

I think Hope v Ryder would've been on it, but can it still be made?dewipowell wrote:I really wouldn't be surprised to see Lee Selby v Rendall Munroe, Gavin Rees v John Murray, Craig Kennedy v Hari Miles and Chris Jenkins v Tony Pace. I don't think so, it doesn't make a lot of sense to take Ryder 200 miles away from where he sells well.WelshJack wrote:I think Hope v Ryder would've been on it, but can it still be made?dewipowell wrote:I really wouldn't be surprised to see Lee Selby v Rendall Munroe, Gavin Rees v John Murray, Craig Kennedy v Hari Miles and Chris Jenkins v Tony Pace. I've seen a bit of him in the WSB. Tons of speed and skill, but he seems to rely on his relexes a lot for defence i.e. pulling back from shots rather than slipping them.JimJim2009 wrote:Andrew Selby is going to be an absolute, proper superstar in the pro ranks.thatllbeme wrote:this will probably be Andrew selbys debut aswell!
