This one's coming up in a few short hours. I'm very excited about this fight!!! I've been following Provodnikov for a long time now and I'm thrilled to see him getting this big opportunity after his war with Timothy Bradley. It seemed like a toss up fight to me, but given Alvarado's extremely drained look at the weigh in, I'm now a little more confident that Provodnikov is gonna be just too strong for him.
The way Alvarado brought his bike against Rios, only to be a lottery winner by donation....winner! He better bring his A game or its lights out Early! Providnikov in 6 round.

Provodnikov is super overrated by some. Bradley fought his fight. When Bradley fought the right fight he had little trouble. I dont think Alvarado can KO Ruslan though.

Alvarado won that fight vs Rios by fighting smart. Thought he was a clear winner.
Why do these networks insist on showing shit fights from a week past to start off the broadcast? Completely kills the momentum of the card. If people want to watch old fights then show them after the live fights.

Overrated by who? Provodnikov is a punching specialist - throws the right like a fastball, which is a punch Bradley is susceptible to on occassion, nothing more or less.

Being a slight favorite in Alvarado's hometown illustrates some overreaction to the Bradley fight.

I feel this way as well. Provo has great power, but I don't think he is at that top level. As you have stated, when Bradley decided to box, concussed mind you, the difference in skill was evident. But Bradley was out to prove something.
But Alvarado is no Bradley for sure. And that is what makes this fight so exciting.
I'd say the skill Alvarado showed against Rios in the rematch was about level with what a physically hampered Bradley was able to do.
