Tommy Gibbons cordially invites Jimmy Bivins to a rematch at his earliest convenience.

We would like to contest ownership of the three titles that he is having trouble defending.

We just happen to have this week open, if that works for the F.O.L. CEO.

Kid Norfolk......wants to hurt anyone who thinks they are tough enough to stay in the ring with him.

Warning...he does not fight fair...and he will hurt you.

After that annoying TKO cuts loss, it doesn't matter anymore. Loughran and Dillon are up for all offers. Title shots, rematches, stable wars, etc.....

Qawi wants a piece of Kid Norfolk. Norfolk has proven over the season that he's no chump, well Qawi damn sure ain't no chump either.

Joey Maxim has decided it's time to settle an old score with his rival Stribling. Who fought an extremely valiant effort against Spinks last week, and we felt got a bum call with the stoppage.

We respect Stribling as a fighter, and salute his effort against Spinks. Still though on a personal level The BrainTrust and especially Joey Maxim HATES Stribling and has been itching for a 3rd fight with that son of a bitch for a long time.

Let's go Stribling :box:

The WBA Title has now been returned to the office of the commission.
Thank you for making this decision so quickly in the week. It means that we can arrange a Title fight for this week inseatd of having to wait until next week.

The World Boxing Association are currenty in an emergency meeting to decide the two contenders who will fight for their recently vacated title this week.

(Rumour has it that they will probably pick the top two unmatched fighters in the current ratings)

A press statement will be released shortly.

So it's Gibbons and Moore - unless either Manager pulls out of the fight.

Crease surely the MDT match ups can be swapped around so my guys don't have to fight each other in the semis as it would be a grouping mistake to have anybody fighters having to fight each other unless they both made the final.

I was waiting for you to comment on that sir. I know that this might feel unfair to you but the schedules for the knockout rounds were made even before the draw fro the groups. For confirmation of this, I would invite you to check out:
http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=172841
or
http://boxrec.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=170215

One other thing that I would note is that alongside you in the Quarter Finals were also Mr BigJuicyHog and Mr DMA1987 who had both of their fighters still active in the tournament, so regardless of the results there was probably going to be something like this somewhere down the line.

I would be very reluctant to change the draw at this very late stage... I am not a fan of "moving the goal posts" in the middle of a process. So I will not authorise a change of the draw just to suit your wants.
:shame:

However, as I've said before- The Managers are the most important people in the Sim, so in the spirit of responsible leadership I will offer you this compromise:

If you contact Mr BigJuicyHog and he agrees to fight either of your guys, then I will (in that instance ONLY) change the draw.
And with that, my fighter Tommy Burns would fight your other guy. I think that is a more than fair offer.
:TU:

If you can't come to an arrangement with Hog, then the draw stays as it is.
So get in contact with Mr Hog and see what you gentlemen can come up with.

Just a few more Commish's notes before proceeding:

1. A reminder that Ezzard Charles and Michael Spinks are elligible for unifications:
Ezzard Charles has successfully defended the WBC Title from weeks 8-10.
Michael Spinks has successfully defended the WBO Title from weeks 11-13.

- Now as a Commish I am duly bound to remain impartial, however I felt that a reminder was necessary at this juncture because those happened a long while ago and I do feel it is best to help Managers scope out all their options.

2. Next week will be Commish's Choice Week - and I shall be taking the reins for the week. The only three committments I will make are:
A - There will no unifications.
B - There will be CPUs involved.
C - You will not definitely fight someone within 10 places of you in the ratings (either above or below)

I think that is fair. So gentlemen now that you know that I will be on the case next week, let's get cracking.

We have but 4 weeks left, if I am not mistaken, the goal in those final weeks will be to determine the unified champion of the sim. Ezzard Charles has no qualms in facing Spinks for a unification match, if next week the winner of Moore/Gibbons faces the Spinks/Charles winner and in the last two weeks Bivins faces the ultimate winners. Jesus bless.

Johnny Frankham wishes to rematch Battling Bozo.
