JCC was 96-1-1 and only dumped on his arse once (by Frankie Randall, in his only loss) when he got stopped by DLH, admittedly on cuts (sustained in sparring) but a stoppage nonetheless.

He was stopped 3 more times after that, with Kostya being the only other boxer to have him down.

Charlie Burley 83-12

http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?human_ ... &cat=boxer

Old timers. Packey Mcfarland who went 107-1 , in his last fight he fought and beat Mike Gibbons who at the end of his career was 113-10.

both of these boxers were never stopped, and combined rounds thats 1977 rounds without being stopped!!

I think Griffith was only stopped a couple of times in well over 100 fights. He also holds the record for most championship rounds completed, so that has to count for something when considering his stoppage loss ratio.

Jorge Castro, stopped twice in 144 fights. His fight against John David Jackson is one of my earliest boxing memories. (bit off topic there!).

Panama Al Brown (over 160 fights!)
Black Bill (160 fights including no contests)
Randy Smith (over 60 fights, has a losing record as well)

Got a list of notables if you want me to find them (probably about 25 more names)

Haha I stand corrected. Bill Bessey it's ok trying to survive but some of these fighters are wanting that KO as it would send a message to everyone else. I have watched him a lot of times on tv and seen him live against my brother. I don't think he threw one punch. But he stood on he's toes. Held on used every pro trick to fruistrate Ronnie he was got clean a couple of times and I thought he was going at one point but he lasted it out. He deserves recognition for his contribution to boxing

I'm sure he got kod by joe chip, legitimately, in one of his early fights, while we was a welterweight. Chip was a middleweight.

The surprising name on here for me has been Hector Camacho - he must have been an awful lot tougher than he was given credit for.

Peter Buckley didn't get stopped often though I know his job was different from the top level boxers.

Bennie Briscoe went 90+ fights and was stopped only once…sparked out by Valdez…Valdez must have been a hell of a puncher to do that.

No love for George Foreman? 81 fights only Ali stopped him....

Also Ali fought some of the greatest punchers in boxing history and only Holmes could stop him and even then not during a round.

Billy you seem to think being a journeyman is easy. Would you consider doing it?
What about for a challenge, see how many fights you can take in a year & survive.
