Eddie Hearn: Why Is Audley Not In Prizefighter

Post by MattCoke »

Mr Hearn, why is the 2 time defending champ not in the next prizefighter?

It seems odd, especially as Prizefighter is the only area of professional boxing where Harrison is not a laughing stock.

Also, he is the defending champion, so it would have been fitting for him to defend his title.

Audley tweeted last night that he couldn't make it...no reason given.

What's that got to do with anyway? I was referring to the Audley element. Not prizefighter itself.

Why so serious? Chill out it's some friendly banter regarding Prizefighter legend Audley Harrison.

Imagine he won it again.

He probably would. That's why they don't want him in it.

Audley has no credibility so if he won it again - a real possibility it would look terrible for Hearn and everyone he beat. I am beginning to wonder if Audley will fight again as noone will pay him what he thinks he's worth and i just can't see him working his way up again on low purse fights. But of course with the A force anything is possible except him putting up a decent show against a genuinely world class fighter.

Spot on :TU:

I think harm would be done to the Prize Fighter concept if Audley won it again.

He's only Audley, he's not unstoppable.

Can Hearn really not find someone to invite that can beat Harrison in this tournament?

Then there must surely be a way for him to continue boxing and make a living; I very much doubt that any of us are among the 20 best in all the world at what we do for a living but we still go to work.

I wouldn't if I'd made the money that Audley's made.

Apparently Shannon Briggs fancies Prizefighter. That bloke is Audley's worst nightmare.

People act like he is a serial killer or something. The guy won an Olympic gold and didn't fulfill his potential that's it. He kept trying maybe he deserves a bit of credit for having a decent career after all he was a decent Euro level fighter something most fighters will never be!!

Your thoughtful and balanced view is not welcome on an Audley thread - I may alert the mods.
