Herbie Hide, silly boy!
I see Herbie has changed his plea to guilty now in the case against him for intent to supply cocaine in an undercover sting.
I cannot understand why guys like Hide who have celebrity status want to multiply his wealth by breaking the law in this way. Surely Hide has a healthy bank balance and does not need to be making money in this way that is bringing misery to the country by selling drugs and making families lives hell in the process.
Its a sad story but he knew what we was doing and did not think of the consequences of his actions. I'm sure hide will get a prison sentence maybe a few years to think about what he has done and how it would have effected lots of individuals by selling drugs.
Another sad story of a reasonably good boxer in his time.

Herbie has never been a full shilling. Biggest nutter in British boxing. Makes Fury look calm and sensible.

Herbie wasn't really a dealer though - more a matter of getting some gear in for his pals, to impress his new pals
Re: Herbie Hide, silly boy!
Exactly, he'll probably only get a caution or maybe a bit of community service (IMO)reggaereggae wrote:Herbie wasn't really a dealer though - more a matter of getting some gear in for his pals, to impress his new pals
Virtually every drug user could be classified as a drug dealer if it just involves passing a drug to another person.

Intent to supply a class A drug will result in a custodial sentence. Don't even admit to racking up a line for your pal or your f*cked.Chambers2 wrote:Exactly, he'll probably only get a caution or maybe a bit of community service (IMO)reggaereggae wrote:Herbie wasn't really a dealer though - more a matter of getting some gear in for his pals, to impress his new pals

You don't get cautions in crown court, esp with the very late plea change, Herbie is going away

He won't give a monkeys, he'll be in maybe 12 months tops and will be cock of the wing, he'll get no hassle and with people in prison (and court) selling drugs is not a very shameful thing to do. I accept it is a different world from the one most 'decent' people inhabit but that's the way it is.

Re: Herbie Hide, silly boy!
Didn't Herbie get himself into a mandatory position (or close to) at Cruiserweight not long before he stopped suddenly?
Hope he makes a comeback

Correct Top Gun.
He entered Prizefighter and sustained a cut, withdrawing despite being the winner, stating he was on the brink of a title shot and didn't want to risk it.

Re: Herbie Hide, silly boy!
Real shame that. Herbie could probably still compete at a decent level as he always looked in good shape.
He had some beef with Enzo Mac as well which I thought may have been a good dust up and a good little pay day for them both.

I dont know. He definietly could be the top of his wing but on the same token couldnt the very fact of who he is make him a target for some? Im sure they'll be a prison nutter or two who would fancy taking Hide on whether with a tool or not.palooka wrote:Coco wrote:You don't get cautions in crown court, esp with the very late plea change, Herbie is going away[/quote]

Re: Herbie Hide, silly boy!
Yeah. A mate of mine got dealing coke when he was 19. Got a 3 and half year sentence. Served 18 months I think. He said it was a fairly easy life as he was in a low security prison so there wasnt any real serious trouble or bullying so to speak. Saying that though, he's changed his life around since coming out. I think it opened his eyes.mickey1975 wrote:Intent to supply a class A drug will result in a custodial sentence.
