Formal Protest on MDT draw
Formal Protest on MDT draw
This is our formal protest in the MDT, We feel that Crease made an error when putting the MDT draw together. If a manager enters two fighters they shouldn't have the possibility to meet up unless they both make the final. We understand it was an easy mistake to make as there is a big pool of fighters to allow for but feel that it could of easily have been rectified by changing the semi final fights around. We understand that Crease underlined how the final matches would be decided however at the time he was not aware of his error so we feel that it should be changed in fairness. While right now we have a guaranteed spot in the finals Langford and Foster are training partners and do not want to fight unless it would be in a fight for the Million Dollar belt. We understand that by doing this we could lose both fights and lose the chance at the belt but we feel that it would be easier for all concerned if Langford and Foster didn't have to fight each other without the belt on the line. Creases solution was for us to PM BJH and while we did we feel that he is the one who should fix his error not some messages between two managers. This is not to say we don't appreciate the effort that Crease has put in this season we just ask for him to fix his error.
Re: Formal Protest on MDT draw
Would you care to highlight this supposed "error"? And I would remind you that Mr Detroit decided the knockout rounds bouts before the registration process was even completed. So this statement of yours is moot:p4p1 wrote:This is our formal protest in the MDT, We feel that Crease made an error when putting the MDT draw together.
As again, that was not my call.p4p1 wrote:We understand that Crease underlined how the final matches would be decided however at the time he was not aware of his error so we feel that it should be changed in fairness.
There is no mistake.p4p1 wrote:We understand it was an easy mistake to make as there is a big pool of fighters to allow for
If 2 fighters from the same stable keeping winning, then there is a risk that they might meet somewhere down the line...
This becomes especially prevalent when 3 stables of fighters have a continuous win streak - as what happened this season, look at the these 3 Quarter Finals:
BIGJUICYHOG VS P4P1
BOB FITZSIMMONS VS BOB FOSTER
DMA1987 VS BIGJUICYHOG
STANLEY KETCHEL VS FLOYD PATTERSON
P4P1 VS DMA1987
SAM LANGFORD VS ROY JONES JR
Three different Managers had fighters who kept winning and winning and winning... It's not my fault, I do not decide the results and quite frankly, I can't do anything to change the results or modify them.
And it was a fair compromise. If Mr Hog does not wish to change the fights, then that is his perogative.p4p1 wrote:Creases solution was for us to PM BJH and while we did we feel that he is the one who should fix his error not some messages between two managers. Essentially, you are not asking me to compromise again just to suit you... Whereas Hog does not want to change fights.
This does raise a certain question here - why should your views be put before Mr Hogs?
Re: Formal Protest on MDT draw
Then you decide the Semi Finals. I will sidestep here, but I refuse to be the one to make the call. I'm not gonna put one Manager ahead of any other Manager.DetroitHxC wrote:Switch the damn fighters. As the creator of the tournament, I say make it happen!
And for future reference, I resent this supposed implication that I made a mistake, when quite frankly it was you, Mr Detroit, whom decided the bouts for the knockout round and the results dictate themselves.
Mr Detroit, you have the power to change the Semis - and do so if you wish... I just believe that this is setting a dangerous precedent for the future. And by that I mean:
"The draws for the knockout rounds will be decided -unless a Manager complains repeatedly and we'll change everything just to suit him".
Re: Formal Protest on MDT draw
After a conversation with mr. Detroit he confirmed to me that when the fighters were put into groups that they were not supposed to be able to meet unless they both made the final. Though as we said we understand mistakes do happen, there are a lot of fighters to worry about. It is possible that you didn't know that when you selected which groups to put fighters in but it was supposed to be like that but if it's a big deal then fornicate it don't worry about it. I'm not a winging manager on this part of the site I normally match my fighters and shut the fornicate up about what is going on, I saw this asked D if my thinking was right he confirmed and I bought it to your attention that's all thinking it wouldn't be a big deal to swap some fights over.. I posted fornicating twice about it, that does not make it any sort of carry on, before you were commish you used to piss and moan about shit every fornicating week. PM D if you have to confirm that the idea is that the groups are set up so that if a manager enters two fighters they will not meet until the final if they both made it that far.Crease wrote:Would you care to highlight this supposed "error"? Re: Formal Protest on MDT draw
Now I'm from the south....yep...that's me and ol' Mississippi boy. And we all know, we southerners can sometimes get confused.
But aint we in a pickle here?
How can we fix this? Seems it's either Hog, or Pfp gonna get the treatment.
Wasn't it just an unlucky throw of the dice? Someone was bound to get muscled about in such a tourney.
Can someone explain how this can be repaired?
Cuz I'm for repairin' it if possible. But aint the damage done?
Is there any way that the finalists can be arranged so that they do not face their own fighters?
AND......perhaps I have a brilliant idea. IF your fighter is to face his own stablemate...and you just want to have your own gym war....and save your stable mate the recorded loss on record.....perhaps YOU can choose who won the fight......now there is still a price to be paid....but much smaller.....one fighter will NOT get a recorded loss....and the other will have one less win....in a slightly smaller group of fights. It's actually a small net gain for whomever you call the loser...and slightly larger but still nominal gain for the fighter that you call the winner. In terms of points.
I would be ok with this. Detroit does this work for you? Crease?
The camp can choose it's own fighter it wishes to put forward in the tourney?

Re: Formal Protest on MDT draw
If it is easier all around Buzz I am happy to do that.
Re: Formal Protest on MDT draw
I've never had my fighters face each other ....neither has geto.....it's sort of the principle of the thing.
Re: Formal Protest on MDT draw
I have done it in the last fight of the season before.

Patterson will fight Foster if that will make it better.

Hog has elected to change the fights around. The matter is closed.BigJuicyHog wrote:Patterson will fight Foster if that will make it better.
