Adam Etches

Post by palooka »

I got my first look of Etches last night and he did really well; he looks a real handful and has plenty of firepower. There are some good names in the mix at middleweight, how will Adam get on?

Looked a bit wooden, but certainly hits very hard. He'd knock Eubank Jr out, Ryder would be an absolute war, Hope wouldn't have the power to hold him off, think he'd stop Blackwell late but Saunders would box his ears off on the way to a landslide points victory right now.

Can't really tell with etches, the Brazilian lad he fought looked like an novice amateur . He put nice uppercuts & right hands in against an opponent who was ridiculously outclassed

Last night did not give Adam a chance to showcase his skills properly. Last night the fight ended up being at Super Middle and that's not where Adam needs to be. He holds fantastic power but he's a work in progress. He is capable now of causing an upset domestically at Middle and that's why Eubank will avoid him like the plague.

Not so sure he KO's Eubank. The kid he fought last night was totally out of his depth.

I really like Etches but to say he would beat Eubanks Jnr is crazy. Eubank would outclass him in every department and would win by late KO.. Etches needs to build up work more on his boxing skills and defence he has the power to go far but needs time.. Maybe a fight with a good boxer like John Thain or Craig McEwan would show his level. I think McEwan and Thain may win wide points but both good fights

Looks like he's got plenty of power in his shots. Id like to see him in with someone like Nick Blackwell or Gary O'Sullivan next. It's all potential at the moment, I think someone needs to ask him a few questions so we can see how what level he's at.

why not look at the record of etches opponent last night before we blow smoke up adams ar5e.

in the programme it looked like a 50/50 fight between two gunslinging outlaws, in reality, and after looking at the opponents record closely, it was a 90/10 fight for etches.

Good matchmaking sums it up. But i will state i like adam etches, he does however, usually take too many punches.

Your likely judging him on his prizefighter performance, in which i agree he was crap.

But make no Mistake about it hes a tough lad and can bang, Valentine vs Etches would be certainly interesting while it lasted.

I'm judging him on what I have seen. Etches would knock him out, early.
