I've just started reading "This Bloody Mary is the Last Thing I Own". A boxing themed book by Jonathan Rendall who died last year.

The Thomas O Beckett pub on Old Kent Rd gets mentioned heavily early-doors as a boxing pub back in the day. Some fighters used to train above it. Just had a quick look at the pub's website, looks like it was re-opened a few years back after an earlier closure. Not sure if the boxing link has been revived though. Anyone know ? I was thinking about dropping by next time I was in the area.
