I dont even think if he beats troy that ronnie has to prove anything to fight either of them. I really wish the best for both of them but both have stepped up level and been beat at that level? I dont wanna bad mouth them as end of day they have the chance but 50-50 fights are not being refused by tommy and expe if you are in the know regarding these guys or invilved with them I dont know but let tommy gilmour know as he doesnt use this and the fights will be made im sure:) saves him alot of headache if he has an opponent lined up as Ronnie forever head nipping him . Fighting away is not a reason either. Ronnie will travel for the fights. When you have fought in world title fights in kickboxing in new york madrid portugal, denmark etc then a little journey to England is enjoyable:)
I'm not in the know regarding O'Hara and Hughes, but neither have boxed since April and May respectively and have experience around domestic title level. O'Hara has left Belfast plenty of times and a Celtic title would go down well with the board. Hughes went to France to fight Ali Kebab for his last fight and has fought on the road before. Fights like that will help towards getting eliminators. It may even take Tommy Gilmour asking fighters to name their price to come to Scotland and if it's too high, giving them the amount Ronnie would want to travel and if a purse can be agreed, get the fight on. The matchmaking now needs to be domestic fighters that are easily beatable, that will lead to title fights or eliminators, even if Ronnie wouldn't learn anything by fighting them.

Realistically ronnie was brought down on days notice to lose and gt a draw . He can be happy with that although hard done by. These guys have their chance but people in glass houses shouldn't through stones as both James and male have continually fought they kind of opponents including males last fight:)
As I said earlier the kid ronnie is fighting was the prefered opponent last time out as it was about rounds not a test but he pulled out.. I agree a draw as an away fighter to me is like a win. My point is why didn't tg make a fight troy or someone of that level which ronnie wants.

Male's best win is probably Richards and he stopped Curran as well, I know Ronnie hurt his hand in the fight, but I doubt the board would take that into account. Ronnie has drawn with two of the fighters with winning records he's faced and Rogowski is foreign, which probably counts against him with the board as well, rather than beating domestic fighters. James won an area title which goes down well with the board, usually leading to English title fights and eliminators.

you guys have an awful lot of knowlege, do any of you promote? are you aware of the boards guidlines regarding paying of fighters. end of day these guidelines are surely in place due to small hall shows not having tv and setting a realistic wage. Surely Maley you will know the script regarding this with your cousin being a fighter. I can guarentee his fights have all went along with guidlines for set pay and wernt made for money as quite frankly promotors are there to make money and wont take a hit. As I have always said I will never claim to be a boxing expert but this money you talk of where does it come from? Just interested to know your backround on where the information comes from. Small hall shows I was always told were there to keep fighters active really:)

I'm just a boxing fan who supports my cusion. I talk to people regulary in the game and in the know at shows fb twitter and on here. I don't know wat chris has ever been paid but I know a few things that have happened that I won't say cause its not my place to.

yeah i wasnt wanting information I was just meaning chris will tell you its usually the same amount and the board have a wage guidline and not many small hall shows will go above it. It makes financial sense really and is understandable. If gilmour is doing a small hall show paying 6 fighters who in truth he does not ask to sell tickets as these shows sell themselves as much as I dislike him I dont expect him to have Ronnie fighting eliminators on it. Its when Ronnie is asked to sell say 100 tickets on an away show to be let down or to be fighting journeymen on days notice. I agree with you to an extent but the amount of head nipping Ronnie does to TG theres no way hes refusing fights. Ronnie is tricky to match due to it being high risk, low reward and until the board approve a final eliminator etc I dont believe hell get a fight unless someone is desperate at days notice in which he has to be ready:)

Its a shame he can't get the fights he wants. I like his attitude. Tg sud build a show round ronnie. For a masters title 10 rounds and really push his name out their and get onto the board to force fighters into taking the fight.

Ronnie can't box for the English title so it's unlikely the board will make it as an eliminator unless there's no opponent available for the English title.

I know he can't box for the english title, but tg cud still try to match them in a eliminator. Munroe is his mandatory for english but doubt that will happen if munroe gets a shot at lee selby. Not sure if its a volentary or mandatory defence. Board cud make with winner of chris and troy v kays.
I think kays is the level of a opponent tg sud b looking for to progess ronnie towards a domestic title

In my opinion I don't think Ronnie v Kay's is a 50/50 fight mate. I think Ronnie would win that fight quite comfortably. I see what your saying English Champion and all. Ronnie is Ranked above all 3. I think in an eliminator a more 50/50 fight would be Stephen Foster, Ben Jones or Joe Murray I think in my opinion they are fights Tommy should be trying to get.

Gary is who I feel sorry for in all of this. Complete joke waiting for an opponent in order to vacate his title. He should just vacate he is going to get stripped anyway give Gary and whoever he will be fighting a chance to prepare. It strikes me as being very sneaky. It's obvious what's happening they are trying to strike a deal to let Stephen fight on the 23rd and instead of just picking up the phone to Warren it's all this politics. I'm sure Gary will be ready for whatever the challenge and I will be hoping he gets that Lonsdale belt outright.. Well unless the fight is Ronnie ha

There are no rankings, so he can't be ranked above any of them, you're right that it isn't a 50-50 fight though. For Foster and Murray, Ronnie will have to travel and he may have to for Jones as well.

Somebody like Dan Naylor would be a good opponent for Ronnie on the back of Podusovs. A journeyman albeit, but Joe Murray fought Liam Walsh on the back of a victory against him.
Naylor then O'Hara or Hughes would be an ideal next two fights but I'd imagine it will be Podusovs followed by a Latvian.

its down to the manager who he fights next thats if he is doing his job probably coz after all ronnie pays the manager to get fights for him
