Bad stoppage from Phil Edwards,he should know more than most how tough Simpson is,sure Simpson had a mountain to climb but we were robbed of Simpson taking Coyle into the trenches late on

On the other hand i was impressed with Tommy tonight,i didnt even have him dropping a round,Simpson seemed out of sorts,was basically just following Coyle around the ring without getting much off,maybe something to do with going up in weight and obviously the lack of preperation wasnt ideal

I suspect John may go back down to Featherweight if he doesnt end up chucking it

It must be hell to have to earn a living as a fighter at the level of Simpson. Every fight a tough one, every contest a risk of getting jobbed, noone looking out for you, noone doing you any favours. I have a hell of a lot of respect for this type of fighter, you kind of wish they would get some breaks. Hope Simpson can carry on and do well at some level.

Agree a million per cent.

Simpson is the eternal "ideal opponent" for the promoter. He's tough, respected, game and a decent boxer but expected to lose. Not to bring Burns into this (from a Scottish perspective) but the only difference in a lot of ways is pure luck.

Sky team need a definite clean up, jim watts commentary is shite, far too negative, Woodall is a decent commentator but abit of a yes man, ed Robinson should be given the leading roll, i personally think ed is fantasic.
i prefer listening to Paul smith, Jamie Moore as pundits, or anyone who doesn't just agree with the usual bullshit, someone who speaks there mind.

Probably not until about 3 -3.30 if I'm guessing. They will probably be showing the Mike Perez and Ola Afolabi fights first.

Im one of the few that isnt a huge Woodhall fan. I think he's good but he can be a yes/company man just like the others mentioned.

Might just be that he's on less so it's less noticeable. I don't mind Dave Clark though, he's enthusiastic and all he does really is ask questions, which is what he's supposed to do. I know Smith does the same, but he runs things and is responsible for who's on as pundits. He wasted a whole episode of ringside on book reviews, most of it trying to promote his own book. He always has his mate McCrory on and has Watt commentating every time, surely it's time for some variety. In truth, what's needed is a Roy Keane type pundit, who's brutally honest and says it as it is, or at least how they see it and isn't afraid to argue with the other pundits.

Yeah Gregory Tony is French but he had Towers toppling all over the place in their bout, very unfortunate that the referee was against him that night.
