Stevens was putting him to sleep with that crab defense.

3-1 GGG

I think Stevens might have edged that round, he hit GGG with more than a few shots, didn't hurt him but they're point scorers alright.

Stevens rung Golovkin's bell a few times near the end of round 4. Evidence that this fight might be interesting after all.

GGG is just carrying this guy to get in some rounds. Would have finished by now if he really wanted to.

4-1 GGG

Stevens on the back foot, GGG looking for openings but not breaking through.

Round 5: Very close 10-9 Stevens
Mostly uneventful. The higher volume of pitty pat punches landed by Golovkin, a few more effective blows landed by Stevens.

That's not true. He's very wary of the left hook counter.

Round 6: Clear 10-9 Golovkin. Stevens got off to an early lead, landing effective blows similar to the past two rounds. Golovkin went on a lengthy rally of landing quite a lot of hard blows and pulled way ahead. Stevens stopped opening-up under all of that pressure.

5-1 GGG

GGG getting through now but he looked slightly ragged toward the end of the round.

Round 7: Clear 10-9 Golovkin
Both fighters trade effective blows early. Stevens begins piling-up a number of mediocre punches and then they trade numerous big punches near the end of the second minute. Golovkin begins opening-up a lead in the final minute.

6-1 GGG

GGG spent most of the round either pinning Stevens in the corner or backing him up, Stevens is tough got to hand it to him.

This reminds me of a slightly better version of Vitali vs Johnson. One dude doing all the work, the other sitting on defense.

This is the most cautious ive ever seen Golovkin box which shows that he respects Steven's power.

Stevens did absolutely nothing to earn this shot and he's lasted a lot longer than I thought he would. Good that he gave GGG some rounds

Yeah. But he's still losing one sidedly.
Yeah but people were saying he was gonna get destroyed in a couple of rounds. That he was a bum and he didnt deserve being in there. Well he looked more dangerous than Macklin or Rosado ever did.

Did you actually think stevens had a chance? He hit GGG with his best shots and GGG just walked through them.
