Since the Kali fight, Walker has fought three times and has lost each of them.

If Big Daddy can keep out of range of a Travis king hit, he should retain his unbeaten run.

It has occurred many times before and I would have expected the fighter and the promoter to be fully aware of the possibility of a visa being refused given a criminal record. Surely this issue should have been sorted at the early stages of fight negotiations and not in the last week. Disappointing as I was really looking forward to what was going to be a good contest.
I can confirm that the visa was applied for the minute the fight was agreed, with Visa lawyers brought in to assist. Unfortunately the Australian Embassy dragged the matter on for weeks, without ever giving a straight forward answer as to when the matter would be resolved, one way or the other. Hatton Promotions even got the assistance of a MP from Sheffield, Towers' home city. Towers was told he would be granted it, about a week ago. He went to collect it, but was instead re-interviewed. Disappointing, but nothing else could be done by the promoters.

Thanks mate. Hopefully Lucas can get by Walker and eventually get a crack at Towers, may be in the UK

He was also in possibly the worst shape of his career in his last bout and gassed very quickly.

If that type of Walker shows up Browne has a great chance of winning.

It is a real shame that Government departments can't reach a decision and stick by it. Completely disagree with their decision not to grant Towers a visa. Where would he run to? Is he going to commit a crime unnoticed?
Onto Walker.
I think Lucas will KO him in the later rounds. He is too clever for Walker. I would say he would KO Alex Leapai and Kali Meehan too, no disrespect to them.
He is still an emerging boxer, not at his peak yet, and I can see big things ahead.
Really looking forward to this!!! :box: :TU:

Had a chance to chat with Lucas at the recent card in Perth. He's heading off to the UK shortly to get some training with Team Hatton before the bout. As always he seems pretty confident. Good luck Lucas.

Hope Lucas Browne beats the living bejasus out of him. Towers didn't serve 13 for littering.

Browne stopped towers in 5. Decent albeit towers record was padded and he probably should have already had a stoppage loss on it.

I think Lucas has a date with David Price for the Commonwealth title. If Price dosnt vacate the title. In my opinion Lucas would be better off fighting in the UK. He is getting a good following there and will make a hell of a lot more money than he will here in Aus.

Agree 100% Benno. A good win for Lucas. I didn't think he had been in great form, but to beat Towers in that fashion is a good result.

Sad to say but you're probably right. Boxing his big right now in the UK. I wonder if Price will vacate rather than take a chance with Browne?

Price could go 2 ways, either take 2-3 easy beat "tune up" type guys to build some confidence back whilst improving the record OR jump straight into a Browne fight that should he win would put him right back into the mix as Browne has now confirmed himself as a fringe contender

Browne is crude and I don't see him beating any top heavyweights, but he can punch and there are some interesting bouts out there for him.

I think Price would beat him fairly easily though.

Good win for him. If from what i have read that his team want Browne to fight for the Commie title,How long has it been since a Australian won the commonwealth H/Weight belt?.
