The things I heard *no idea if they're true or not* was that Groves wasnt listening to Booth in training and had become "difficult" to work with. I think Booth had enough of it.

Would kind of fit in with this new arrogant persona Groves seems to have.

Wow this is terrible timing for Groves

( or is it all just an illusion.. by that master of mind games and renowned cult leader Adam Booth ?! )

Hell hath no fury like a manager sprurned...Booth now seems to be doing his damndest to make sure GG loses.

Maybe he'll now appear in Carl's corner 8)

George probably felt it was all a bit cult like at Adam Booth's ( Booth is a bit odd, the weird stuff he says in the corner gives that impression ) the way he an his fighters all talk the same is......strange.

Groves probably decided he needed to break away from the cult, and he and Paddy climbed out the windows at midnight.

Be a sweet £100k for Booth for not doing anything though I suppose.

As his Manager he technically got him the fight with Froch so is entitled to some of the £££

Groves and Degale seem to of had some weird kind of personality switch where Degale has become somewhat humble atleast and quiet and Groves seems to of turned into some kind of Booth clone.

No way Groves thinks he can walk away from his trainer and manager and expect to keep the management fee

Booth should get the management fee, as he got Groves the fight. If he isn't entitled to it, then the hearing will find against him. So why shouldn't he press the case if he has one?

I gave Groves a good chance with Booth training him, can't see him lasting once Froch puts him under pressure now.

Booth, Groves and Fitzpatrick are planning a WWE style ring walk when the lights dim and the music plays ..............shock on the faces of the crowd as a smug looking adam booth walks next to a fired up and focussed looking george groves with the man in the pork pie hat holding the spit bucket ..........Only it wont be a shock as many saw it coming..........However being an obsessive thinker will Froch be able to not let it effect him ....who can really know until it happens ..... What I do know is that if it happens and groves pulls it off it will be touted by many as a genius stroke ....and if froch was to beat groves surley even the "Dark Lord" would be unable to smug it off.

However I can see an upset on the cards as we have heard many times before much of boxing is about timing and Carl is coming to the end of his career and george is on the up.

Lets hope if it is a materplan by team groves/booth it does not end in a cut/back/toe injury in the last week.

It's a big slice, but on the other hand he's travelled and trained him during all the poor paying fights so the title fight is the culmination of both men's journey.

Maybe Booth found it intolerable as the trainer and had to walk. Maybe Groves found it that way and he decided it was over.

Who knows.

Perhaps on the night Booth pops up out of the floor in a puff of smoke with a spit bucket and a towel draped over shoulder wearing a broad smile.

It makes absolutely eff all difference to Groves losing badly on the 23rd I'm afraid.

I don't think Groves could have gone about things any worse with his approach.

After tax he could be losing his record and reputation for a paltry £150k after tax and other deductions.

What's been wrong with his approach?

If he's fallen out with his manager/trainer or vice versa ought he to have backed out of the bout?

Has Froch every sounded anything less than confident and assertive before any of his bouts?

This is a very live matchup, no doubt Froch cant wait to get his hands on Groves but it is fraught with danger.

Groves won't be content to turn up and bail out to get paid, he'll be there to win and if he does win after the upheaval then he'll deserve to crow a little bit more - and lets face it, some people thrive on chaos.

Groves has to pay 100 out his 300 or 400 purse??i take it this is all gross were he gets deducted 40% tax.
I think groves has created a lot of pressure on froch to win this fight. The thought of losing to groves gives froch nightmares

Groves is getting knocked out I can just sense it. He might give Carl problems for some early rounds with his hand and foot speed and even land some quality shots on him but the punches are just gonna bounce off Froch just like usual and When Froch starts landing his leather on Groves's he's first gonna get mad and have a tear up like he did against Anderson but it will be his downfall. He just doesnt have to beard to compete in this kind of fight. He reminds me of Bute somewhat in that sense. Bute was landing very heavy counter left hands on Froch but they were just bouncing off his head and and then froch would unload in combination whilst pushing him up against the ropes. He then proceeded to get battered.

Didn't it say George gets more from ppv sales etc???
He wouldn't be getting that if booth wasn't his manager.

I was told that booth is still groves manager and groves has got in a new trainer so i'd still expect to see booth in the corner

Seriously though, is there any proof that Groves hit's harder than the likes of Kessler, Bute and Abraham? Im not convinced. Has Groves ever scored a knockout like this for instance? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv66ifzOxn0
