This thread could have been posted in November 1974 had the World Wide Wait been in existence!
I can't believe there is such vociferous arguments about a well known & widely watched fight hat happened almost FORTY years ago!

I don't get how that's a reply to me?
I thought I'd made it clear that I completely disagreed with Polesmokerteddy....
I was agreeing with you. I can understand why you would want to disassociate yourself from Il Mnichino's and pole's insipid comments.[/quote]

I shouldn't take the bait. Several posters have pointed it out. However he is a master troll... I don't mind responding but I'm starting to feel it's messing up the board. They should have an Ali Forum for Il Manichino.I was agreeing with you. I can understand why you would want to disassociate yourself from Il Mnichino's and pole's insipid comments.

Agree.ThatOne wrote:Moorer got careless and paid the price. He was well , well ahead on two of the cards.Ezzard wrote:What I know is that in the 1980s none of the major magazines or writers put him in a top 10.
And in the comeback one punch against Moorer made a big difference...rightly so...
Foreman was never a combination of the early destroyer and the older more calculating boxer. His career was one or the other.
Young George was too limited with obvious deficiencies. Probably the hardest punching champion. The things he did well, he did very well indeed.
Old George was very carefully matched.
