Howard is one of the best, nothing flash about him, just a good solid referee.

Shame he cant ref every bout in the UK. Certainly one of the best in the business.

Very good referee. Doesn't get involved unless he needs to. Also a nice guy.

I haven't seen that Howard has got the Froch/Groves contest, but if he has then congratulations to him. Certainly one of the best ref's in the world at the present moment.

Great ref Howard so happy his got the fight, his only one of 3 in Britain I feel could have done this job. So pleased a big fight between 2 brits is having a british ref and not one of these yanks coming over here, don't know why they get the big fights, they are no way as good as our boys.

I wouldnt completely agree with that. There is some very good ones aswell.

Agree Columbo, the yanks have some very good refs. Tony Weeks, Kenny Bayliss are two that spring to mind

I agree they do have some good refs, the two you have mentioned and Pat Russell, Jack Reice, Benji Estefez.

One I cant get on with though is Steve Smoger, its all about Steve. Robert Byrd another good ref

If there was a poll that said pay buffer £10,000 plus expenses - or giving the bottom undercard fighters a grand or two a piece extra instead - then I would choose the latter.
