Lucas Browne vs Mark De Mori

Post by hurricanemitch14 »

Why hasn't this fight been made???

Browne has been moved really well and I'd like to see him clean up the other stud in Australia while he makes his way up the ladder.

Browne vs Mike Perez would be great too on HBO yeaaaaaa

ego.

nobody wants to lose to a fellow oz prospect as it instantly makes them think they r less marketable. all our heavies r considered limited, so it wouldn't be a good look for the loser.

they don't realize that people just want to see a competitive fight between 2 big units.

its a cycle that is preventing potential huge fights amongst many world performers, not just here.

Aren't they friends? I know it does not matter in the fight game with some but who knows.

I think they are friends. Im sure if the money was right though they would fight.

There has been talk of offers to both of them to fight Parker. Not sure its a good move for Browne as he is becoming well known in the UK and its a lose/lose situation for him. If he beat Parker no one will give him credit. If he loses his career in the UK will be ruined.
Demori would be the better option vs Parker. As Marks career has been in limbo for the past few years. If the money was good he should take it. It would be a great fight.

I believe de Mori is fighting for the WBU and WBF title this month in QLD. If he wins i think (Or hope) he will fight Cameron next.

Does anyone seriously believe DeMori would fight Cameron ?
He has dodged anyone with a pulse over his whole career.
Parker, Leapai, Haumono and Browne would all blow him away
Fat old men from the Balkans are more his style.

I don't think De Mori and Browne are close friends so that's probably not the reason it's not happening. They have sparred together before though.

Right now I don't think it suits either fighter but it would be a bloody great one if it got made somewhere down the line. Browne is heading for a Commonwealth title fight thanks to Hatton Promotions whilst De Mori doesn't have the promotional backing of anyone yet. I know he's signed with Don King but King seems to have done very little for Mark recently.

To me De Mori is quicker and more mobile than Browne but maybe doesn't have that same calmness and composure yet. If it happened tomorrow you'd have to back Lucas on recent form but I do think De Mori could beat him, given the right tactical advice.

Really good match that I hope can be made one day.

You CAN NOT be serious?!!

Demori has been a boxer for over a decade. Browne is a MMA fighter.

Id back Demori to win this. Demori too smart. Browne is chinny..... :TU:

Are you serious both of you!! From what I have seen of De Mori he is not on Lucas's level. I agree with the majority of posters on here. De Mori is better suited to fight fat out of shape eastern europeon heavies, that is his level and he can make a good living out of it.

i'm yet to see that browne is any better.

his opponents have been fat and overweight has beens, or never were beens, lol.

it would be competitive between them even if they fought 10 times. each fight would be hard to choose the winner.

This fight would be a genuine 50/50 contest if it happened. Mark is quicker and has better footwork. Lucas is bigger and stronger.
Both guys can punch.

He ducks decent fighters because he lacks confidence. Cameron would probably demolish him.

It was Leapai's first pro fight and he got a draw off De Mori.

As already stated it was Leapai's first pro fight and Leapia not only decked De Mori, he was probably unlucky to have to settle for a draw. Remember in his first pro fight against De Mori who'd already had 5 pro fights.

Perhaps you can explain why De Mori is wasting his time fighting bums like Pagga, Dzafic, Perkovic and Buharalija not once. But twice
