Re: Hello old friends... I have returned to discuss the classics
We were about to discuss the classic Sonny Bill Williams V Frans 'white buffalo' Botha stoush for some title or other, which was changed from 12 rounds to 10 mid fight, when it appeared Botha was going to KO Williams. Classic set of circumstances of ever there was a classic set of circumstances. So...what say you?
Re: Hello old friends... I have returned to discuss the classics
I did not elect to watch that fight.
I heard the fight announced and just shrugged it off as another one of
'those' fights that ANZAC boxing seems to enjoy, and the media
limits its coverage too.
Frans just well..I wish he was no longer fighting and Sonny Boy..well..
yeah...he has never really inspired my interests.
Frans should have realised he was bought over to be that name
on Sonny Boys record...silly guy trying to win that fight !?
Yeah sus circumstances indeed.
Just as Mundine vs Mosley was another ripper of promotional
dignity for Australian boxing.

Welcome back Kym. We no longer have Granberry but we do have Il Duce, another veteran who mixes interesting facts with a rabid dislike of Muhammad Ali.

Welcome back Kym.
Unfortunately Irene left in a huff 12 months or so ago but the good news is there are still plenty of nutters here to fill the void.
Watched any good fights recently?

I just think you need smartening up a bit, Rufus............ well a lot actually...............but there is hope for you.
What better way to start than dancing on the back of a madi gras float wearing nothing but your tin foil hat and a big old grin?

Still, don't dismiss the madi gras out of hand; I think it could be the making of you, Rufus.

I think its highly likely they are all the same poster but they get banned and then come back months later with a slightly different flavor but still the same dish. Either that or its like some sort of bizarre cyber copy-cat crimes/posts . . .Flump wrote:Welcome back Kym. Oh and welcome back!
Re: Hello old friends... I have returned to discuss the classics
Il Duce looks very Granberry like to be from what I have observed so far.
Thanks lads. It is jolly awesome to be here again.
I held a LHW title(205lb), still do but the promotion is in hiatus, i fight at
HW also but nothing cool there.
As for watching old fights, I have been watching a heap of Greg Page this past few days
and others from the lost generation of 1980s HWs..those at times under
achievers who I seem to have a soft spot for.
Collins200 been about ?
