Re: Price vs Chisora
I think Price is capable of beating Chisora but needs time to come back and rebuild.
I thought Chisora was going to be steered into a mandatory position for a major belt (hence the proposed clash with Pulev), to earn a world title fight without having to sign away the rest of Delboy's career to K2. Facing Price is a backward step, unless there are two plans for Delboy; the first being to win a title eliminator against a top contender and thus earn the mandatory slot, the second being just keep him active and slowly crawl up the rankings bit by bit until Delboy ends up at the top.
It will be hard for Price to give up the domestic title but I'm not sure the time is right for him to come back and defend it against Chisora now. That said, from a neutral perspective its a good domestic fight.

I agree with others, this will not happen.
Re: Price vs Chisora
Price only just started with Booth no way this fight happens.
Re: Price vs Chisora
Chisora is better than Thompson and is all wrong for Price at this stage of his career. Booth will run away from this fight.
Re: Price vs Chisora
Can you just vacate a title if you haven't got bigger fish to fry?TopGun wrote:Chisora is better than Thompson and is all wrong for Price at this stage of his career. Booth will run away from this fight.
Balantly looks like you are scared - not a good look, even if you are currently damaged goods and need to regroup
Re: Price vs Chisora
Tyson Fury done this to fight Rogan rather than defend against Price, I do think Price will vacate here he has said since the 2nd Thompson fight he needs to rebuild first so will keep this as his reasoning,rossij8 wrote:Can you just vacate a title if you haven't got bigger fish to fry?TopGun wrote:Chisora is better than Thompson and is all wrong for Price at this stage of his career. I actually belive Price could do Chisora so will be a shame to see another good fight bypass us
Re: Price vs Chisora
Im confident Chisora would stop Price. Price's power is obviously dangerous but a fit Chisora would have his head on Prices chest and break him down. He has the work rate and experience to keep on top of Price.

Yes I agree. That said I believe after 12 months with Booth, Price would beat Chisora as he will get him working at a better rate and maximise is fitness levels for each round rather than be blowing out his arse...
Re: Price vs Chisora
i think Price is tailor made for Chisora look how good chisora did against Helenius and Vitali, id pick Chisora by stoppage would suggested price takes a few rebuilding fight maybe even in other countries to avoid all the limelight

Re: Price vs Chisora
Chisora's a pressure fighter that makes you fight. Price could easily run out of stream
Re: Price vs Chisora
If Chisora gets caught with a similar shot that he took from Gerber in his last fight then he could get taken out. Gerber hits pretty hard, but Price hits harder. Though if the fight goes a few rounds then Chisora will swarm and stop Price.
I'd rather see this one a year down the line, when Booth does a wizard of OZ on Price's ability to 'fight' and his endurance.

Re: Price vs Chisora
I think price should take the fight, booth keeps talking about building his confidence, how much confidence would he gain from his new trainer telling him to duck a tricky yet beatable opponent?
particularly when one of his boys already beat that opponent not long back

Re: Price vs Chisora
At this point you could only really give Price a punchers chance, it just seems like a bad fight to make right now.... I really don't understand what the rush is with Price, yes he's 30, but that isn't all that old, especially for a heavy, and its not like he had a hard career prior to Thompson. Now he needs a year of getting back to winning ways, rebuilding confidence and working with Booth to try and figure out a sustainable style. Throwing him in with Chisora at this stage is about as dumb as the Thompson rematch. Right now I'd expect Chisora to walk through Price and for Price to fold inside the first half of the fight. I cant imagine Price even has any faith in his ability to go more than a few rounds anymore.
