thoughts on these fights??
IMO i think both were in there prime in the first 2, then started to slow down but still had a lot left in there 3rd DIRTY fight. by the 4th one they defintley were not the same.
i rank pep higher, but saddler clearly had his number. seemed like just a styles thing.
is pep-sadder I or II on tape??? i only have the 3rd and 4th fights?

...i've done some searching but as far as i can find out pep/saddler I and II aren't on film. damn..i wish they were....one, to see just how badly sadler beat pep in I...and II was called....by everyone who saw it...one of the greatest boxing performances by anybody...with pep dazzling with his skill although he was rocked at least five times and badly cut.
RE: fight I....pep was a big favorite and then the day of the fight the odds started to drop like mercury in alaska.....and there was so much talk of a fix going around that the boxing commission called them both in and warned them that they'd be watched very very carefully. i'd like to see that kayo for myself....though i doubt if it would prove anything. i saw pep tank one..he was almost as good at it as he was at boxing. late ([post-title) in his career. didn't fool the commission though. banned for a while.
this is taking nothing away from sadller. may have been the physically strongest feather of modern times.
