I think he loses to all of them at their best.

)))).
For me he beat Lyle and Ruddock and could beat Douglas and Moorer.
And lose Norton by close decision.

I'd favor him over Moorer, Ruddock, and Douglas. Loses to Norton and Lyle.

I see a peak Lyle-Vitali fight being similar to Vitali's fight with Lewis. I think Lyle could employ the pressure/focus on the body style he used vs Bugner and gradually wear Vitali down. He'd have to take a fair amount of punches, so Vitali has a shot via knockout. But Lyle's chin was overall pretty sturdy and he also had very good recuperative abilities. Chisora showed a pressure style could have some success vs Vitali, and Lyle was a helluva lot better than Chisora.

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
Prime Vitali could beat a Lyle. This version Vitali 2.0 i agree loss him.
Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
Peak Vitali beats all the names on that list IMO.
Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
I think he'd beat all except Norton, and possibly Buster Douglas provided it's the same Buster that fought Tyson.
He beats every other Buster though.

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
I think you're seriously underrating Vitali. He doesn't have to resume to be considered an ATG heavyweight, but his combination of assets (size, strength, chin, timing, judging of distance) would be a handful for any heavyweight.SaadOffTheDeck wrote:I think he loses to all of them at their best.
Ken Norton UD12 Vitali Klitschko - close but clear
Vitali Klitschko TKO11 Ron Lyle - this is close to a 50:50 fight for me, I could also see both winning a decision.
Vitali Klitschko UD12 Razor Ruddock - any other result would surprise me
Vitali Klitschko TKO8 Michael Moorer - I could also see a Vitali points win
Vitali Klitschko TKO10 James Douglas - the Tokyo Douglas COULD win on points, any other version gets stopped

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
Maybe, all I can do is answer the questions honestly. Vitali lacks power and punch variety, while I think he'd fair better in a series against a guy like Douglas, I just can't see him beating him at his best.

Apparently this guys thinks that Vitali beats a prime Mike Tyson. Seriously, how does garbage like this ever even see the light of day. What's worse is reading all of the commenters who actually agree?!

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
If I had to put the house on it I would pick Vitali in all of those matches
Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
I agree. none of those fighters would beat him him. maybe norton could give him a tough fight.SteveO wrote:Peak Vitali beats all the names on that list IMO.
Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
there is a lot of difference between prime mike tyson and the guys from the OP.Goldust wrote:http://sports.yahoo.com/news/mike-tyson ... ts-postbox

I feel tyson, ali and lewis would have beaten vitali (lewis did) but not many more fighters (maybe bowe and holyfield also).
Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
Norton would be 50-50...the others don't stand much of a chance.

The Norton fight would be a good one, I'd fancy Norton to be too much for him
Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
Ken Norton by decision (or late round stoppage by injury/cuts) over Vitali Klitschko.
Norton had more trouble with big punchers who could back him up due to his average chin and poor lateral movement. Klitschko's high ko percentage is due more to his exceedingly poor quality of opposition rather than huge one punch ko power. His stoppages tend to be more a matter of him wearing guys down rather than blasting them out with one punch knockouts.
Ron Lyle by decision (or late round stoppage by injury/cuts) over Vitali Klitschko.
I think people tend to under rate Lyle who had more difficulty with guys who could box and feint keeping him off balance. Klitschko is big and awkward but his boxing is not exactly what I would call "text book" or slick/clever.
Vitali Klitschko by decision over Razor Ruddock
I doubt that he would knock him out but Klitschko would likely be active enough to outpoint the wild swinging Ruddock
Vitali Klitschko by decision or late round stoppage over Michael Moorer
Klitschko probably does enough to outpoint/keep Moorer at long range to take a clear decision or late round stoppage depending on wether or not Moorer's average chin holds up late.
On the night that he beat Tyson, James Douglas by late round TKO over Vitali Klitschko. The night that he lost to Holyfield (or pretty much any other version of Douglas) Klitschko by TKO sometime after the 8th round.

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
Vitali beats them all, except the Tyson-conqueror Buster Douglas, Douglas coming in to the fight as fit and in the same frame of mind as he did against Iron Mike. Then I'd say Vitali vs. Buster a toss-up, slightly leaning towards Vitali by W12 though.

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
i think vitali wins those fights.
what about vitali v earnie shavers ???

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
That is how I feel. I don`t care what Douglas shows up, he isn`t going to jab Vitali all night like he did Tyson.Ezzard wrote:Norton would be 50-50...the others don't stand much of a chance.

Ken Norton is tiny compared to Vitali. Smashed in 7. The rest go without question.

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
I think Vitali ranks alongside the all-time greats and is a tough fight for anyone in history. His only downside is he is fighting now so it's easier to diminish him, like Lewis during his time. Lewis is top 5, Vitali is top 10 and rising

Re: Vitali Klitschko Versus
The only two fighters who could beat would be his brother (maybe) and a peak Lewis. If you really squint your eyes maybe you could see a peak Bowe or Holyfield walking through hell to just about pull it off. Personally I don't think Ali would have been staggeringly more effective than Byrd was.

In what way was Byrd similar to Ali...????polecateddy wrote:The only two fighters who could beat would be his brother (maybe) and a peak Lewis.
