Anyone know if these two guys are the same?

and Frankie Jackson, who beat Frankie Battaglia as an amateur (as Nick Lystar) and in pro debut?
Jackson/Lystar was a lightweight from manitoba Canada
Frankie battaglia opponent Nick Lystar/Nick Lyster/Frankie J
Since there also was a Frankie Jackson from Canada fighting at the same time as Nick Lystar in the Washington area (1934), it's safe to assume they're the same. In Battaglia's record the first name of Jackson is erroneously listed as Freddie by the way.

He's probably of Dutch ancestry, the correct name would then be Lyster or Lijster.

Re: Frankie battaglia opponent Nick Lystar/Nick Lyster/Frankie J
I'm the grandson of Nick Lystar. His heritage is Ukrainian. Last name was originally Lystar but changed because the locals had problems pronouncing the name. My son is named after Nick. I was told he befriended an army mate who was a bit of a mother's boy and he changed his name to his and fought under his name and mailed the press clippings to his mom. I would love to find more about my grandfather's boxing career

Can you provid info for the bio, such as place of birth, dates, date of death etc? Also, maybe some info on what he did after boxing.
