Right. But Paul Smith isn't leaving due to that is he - he is leaving because of the issues he has with FW regarding his brother.
He ought to try and picket Warrens offices with a donkey jacket and a burning bin, he may get further; a judge won't let him walk out because he's miffed about how Warren treated his brother (or his nan ); Paul may not be arsed about continuing his career in any case, he may have had enough.
He seemed to still retain some aspirations after his last fight. Again I didn't say Paul had the right to leave, I was stating how his case was a little more unique and not the norm.
I've no position at all and no axe to grind about any of it really but if I were getting paid monthly I'd say that I really wanted to box in 12 weeks - to get another 12 weeks wages.
I can imagine there's lots gone on we don't know about and it must be hard when someone close falls out with someone powerful; the Smiths are between a rock and a hard place and it remains to be seen whether it's a siren voice that has tempted them close to the rocks.

What's the point of all of the name fighter vs TBA/journeyman fights? Awful PPV undercard.
. Brilliant card but poo ppv imo
I don't see the point of having so many good British fighters fighting no marks. It's a waste of time to watch it.

He has put worse than this one. And all people would say is:
'we don't mind because its Frank, you know what he is like'
there's loads of love shown for Frank on here, so many people wanting to give him the benefit of the doubt - I imagine the BoxRec servers will collapse under the weight of the Frank goodwill come on DMA most on here begrudge him his next breath, the man would get slated if he did his best and never ever put a foot wrong again - it would not be good enough.

Didn't Paul Smith draw a salary (paid monthly) instead of paid by fight?

Right. But Paul Smith isn't leaving due to that is he - he is leaving because of the issues he has with FW regarding his brother.
That means he can't legally leave then, because there's been no breach of contract.
No it doesn't. He's free t leave whenever he wants as is any boxer in the uk. If there is no breach he has to pay his fees to FW untill his contract is up. It's very simple in reality
columbo wrote:Serious question, how is Smith allowed to fight on the card when his licence has been suspended?!
Because the big players are bigger than the board and have more money and much better legal teams. The board have no control really when it comes to the big boys, as shown last year with Haye-Chisora.
