Re: Question about WBU title fight recognition
I do know that FightFax does keep records of titles being exchanged but as a Journalist we come to BoxRec in hopes to learn what titles were fought for and I believe it needs to be added because of this site strives for accuracy in listings and when it is not listed it limits the truth.ABC BOXING wrote:Agree Titles no matter how minor are part of each boxers History
I know BoxRec has been doing a great job and will be making some additions I would like to see the UBF and WBU-V added, jmo.

Re: Question about WBU title fight recognition
Actually from my understanding is that BoxRec is indeed looking at a few organizations to be listed, you guys got to remember some organizations are really really plain ol garbage they are allowing guys fighting 10 rounds for world titles and some even have guys with upside down records fighting for world titles. So they are reviewing each body but I am sure they are going to remove the IBU, WBU (US) and add some more reputable organizations.SteveO wrote:As I've said before (on another thread somewhere) I believe, for the sake of historical accuracy, ALL TITLES should be included in a boxer's record on BoxRec - regardless of whether anyone agrees with them or not. Who picks and chooses which ones to list? and why some titles and not others?
The minor titles mean something to the boxers that fought for them and it is an injustice not to have them included.

Re: Question about WBU title fight recognition
The UBF has some of the best female fighters right now who hold their titles as well, plus they are the fastest growing in my opinion. I like what the UBF is doing and the WBU (Germany) seems to have been busy as well . I like UBF has went on a global approach where the WUB-V is more based in Germany.
